When this happened i was 12 years old and watched it live from my appartment. Watching this today made me cry like a little baby. So much emotions during this turbulent time for my country of Yugoslavia. And the team that brought us all hope and joy in 2002 was tremendous. Basketball legends!

Divac mi je skratio pola života , ali na kraju vredelo je… Stojaković i Bodiroga, šta reći za ova dva VIRTUOZA , nestvarni igrači… nestvarna ekipa, ako Bog da neka se ponovi :)

Dejan Bodiroga ,kakav igrac. Ne treba zaboraviti da je ovde nastupao tadasnji a i kasniji krem NBA lige. Stojakovic i Divac i Ginobili ali ovakva dominacija igraca poput kakvu je prikazao Bodiroga je neverovatna .9/10 slobodna bacanja u ovakvom mecu. Ni atlicizam,niti pravilan sut ali igra na cist POBEDNICKI MENTALITET. Clutch igrac citave karijere gde god i sa kim god je igrao. Kapa do poda njemu posebno a i svim ostalim igracima Juge.
Mozda nema atleticizam ili najpravilniji sut ali je zato kralj tehnike, driblinga i osecaja za igru.
Equipazo Divac, el mejor poste de una selección nacional, jugaba con el corazón...y Bodiroga y Stojakovic...geniales

Dan danas imam video kasetu. Slavlje je baš bilo veliko! Utakmica se mogla zaršiti i u korist Argentine, imali smo sreće. Nakon dva promašena slobodna bacanja Divca kod 75:75 u kontra napadu Jarić je mogao dobiti ličnu grešku. Baš ovaj momenat Argentinci nemogu da prebole. Kakvu smo samo imali odličnu ekipu! Videti zajedno Stojakovića sa Bodirogom je melem za oči, da ne brojim i ostale.
Dobro je odgledati ovo sa distance, bez emocija. Iskreno, kako smo ocajno igrali drugo poluvreme, cudo je da smo pobedili. Ovo bi mozda bila najlosija Divceva utakmica u kraijeri, da nije imao dobre dve odbrane u produzetku. Hvala bogu za Stojakovica i Bodirogu, celu su utakmicu izneli na ledjima.

Kakve uspomene samo busi ova utakmica, poceo da idem u prvi srednji, 15 godina ma milina. Amere dobili, i ovu neverovatnu utakmicu. Nakon utakmice svi izasli na ulice na veselje, na mom kanalu je snimak iz mog grada Sombora, centar je bio krcat, svi pevaju, trube autima, zastave, ma štogod :-)

Well one of the good historical games, these teams were the first to beat an NBA team with stars, but I think the final would have turned out to be more interesting with Argentina complete and Manu healthy, he injured himself in the semifinal, ankle. The result would have been more difficult or in favor of the South Americans.
Well, you are right. But, Vlade Divac and Milan Gurović didn't have good game, too. Not just Manu Ginobili. Anyway, Yugoslavia was little better.
Later on I think 2 years after this, Argentina won against Serbia with Manu scoring at the last second in Belgrade for a trophy that Argentina won.

1:17:21 Biggest steal ever in FIBA. They didn´t have the balls to call that foul andvirtually end the game for Yugoslavia. They unfairly gave them OT. It was so blatant so effin obvious, that even the argentines insulted the greek referee in his face and he didn´t react, no T, nothing. And in the FIBA party that same night he couldn´t look into the argentines eyes. He knew he took the world cup from Argentina in that moment
Serbia 5 World Championship titles, this was the last one and it shows how much it matters to have an amazing Small-forward like Bodiroga and a shooter like Stojakovic that is by all means one of the top 10 shooters in NBA history.

Argentina was up 10 with 2 mins to go the only guy that robbed u was not the ref it was a player named Dejan Bodiroga and of course blame your own players for not putting the game away way before the last seconds in regulation but this has to be one of the best finals in all of FIBA how many finals went to OT

Inače, ne bi ni poveli u trećoj četvrtini, nego sudije nisu videle neke korake i faule.
Kako god, bolje da nije ni došlo do produžetka, ionako su Argentinci iskompleksirani zbog ovog meča.

Argentinci se žale na sudije, a ostali bez muda na kraju. Za 5 minuta produžetaka nisu koš uspeli da postignu, plus ih je Bodiroga natrpao a oni ko blesavi ga puštaju..
Ma ne bi oni ni poveli u trećoj četvrtini da je sudija video one silne korake i faule.
Niko njima nije kriv za poraz, za 8 minuta postigli su samo 3 poena, ništa iz igre.

The shameful is that guys who thought about gold medal scored 3 points for 8 minutes (NOTHING FROM THE FIELD). My mistake, it's not shameful, it's sad🙄.
It was not our fault referies were making mistakes. This things happen in basketball, we were also heavily damaged few times in very important games.
In this game, there were some mistakes in Argentina's favour. Stop complain about the fourth quarter! Serbia was REALLY damaged many times, so we exactly know what is a REAL robbery, not you, who have got less medals.

Yugoslavian did not have a day as well, but we had two players with 20+ points. What is there a Robbery?? For 2 minutes you could not defend 8 points of difference. Bodiroga score 9 points in row without a problem and your players could not stoped him. And still it is a Robbery for you???
Yug has 42 bench points comparing to 27 for Arg.
You can tell as much as you want that this is a robbery, but you get 9 points from ONE MAN in less than 2 minutes. What do you have to say about that

Argentina was cleary ROBBED this match. In last seconds an inexistent Scola foult and later a fault by Jaric not indicated... Referees stoled Argentina the gold medal.
How funny you are. That was clear foul from Luis Scola. Second, little Hugo Sconochini travelled and wasn't fouled. Argentina should be lucky with the silver medal. They didn't score field goal for 8 minutes.

@@tomislavstojkovic9716 , referees had questionable calls throughout the game, true. And Yugoslavia was better team in overtime. But with that being said, the foul on last play of regulation time was obvious, I mean Sconochini went for layup and the ball barely touched the backboard. How did that happen is pretty clear: Foul from Jaric, bump from the side, without any intention of contesting the layup, he just went into Sconochini body there. Wasnt standing there attempting to draw a charge, or play proper defense at all, cause he was already late to try to block the shot. Not the most obvious foul, but foul nevertheless.
Only reason Argentina took a lead in 3rd quater was the bad calls from referees. So yeah it was kinda a robbery, we didnt need an overtime.
