    Would've liked to see more beam comparison, Auxbeam certainly looked like it had better cutoff which is the most important thing.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  Před 2 lety

      Yep the Auxbeam definitely had a more defined cutoff point. Thanks for watching!

    I believe the Auxbeam head light had a much better focused beam onto the road.Hard to believe the Auxbeam is less than half the price as the other one too.👍👍

      @KCars  Před 2 lety

      Yep I think the Auxbeam is more focused and the Quake is more spread out. I personally would’ve liked to see more lighting on the side of the road from Auxbeam though. Thanks for watching!

    Hands down Auxbeam! The projector lens with make a world of difference not blinding other drivers. The Quake lights probably blind everyone, more for off-road use.

    My problem with the flickering headlights. They do not stop flickering when turned off, unless the high beam is turned on. And I'm using similar type Quake as you are using. There is an inline resistor that will stop the flickering. Well done review on the headlights.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  Před 2 lety

      Thanks! How does that in-line resistor work?

    Its the jeep wiring in the 2000-2001. With the stock lights they stay on for a few after you turn off the jeep. There is a fix but I didn't seek it out. Mine Glow a tad without the switch even being on (all related to the Valet feature on the Jeep). Its never caused me an issue so I just go with it.

      I didn’t notice anything whenever I had the stock lights. This isn’t really an actual solution but if you flip the high beam lever forward while the lights are off, they will stop flickering. Not really an issue for me either. Thanks for watching!

      I don’t know if you still have it but my 98 Cherokee does this too. If my headlights are off there’s a glow in them still but if I turn on high beams with my lights off (as in the switch to stay on not the temporary quick on off) the glow turns off and the headlights stay off. I don’t know why this is but if the glow bugs you that’s the solution that worked for me. The downside is if you then turn on your headlights they’ll be in high beam right away

    Would be nice to have a rolling shot catching the jeep passing by on the other side of the street. I've been staying away from aftermarket LED because it usually blinds oncoming drivers.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  Před 2 lety

      There were a few rolling shots of the Jeep passing by in this video. If you feel that you are blinding other drivers and want to fix it, the headlights in the XJ are adjustable

    Do you have to rewire anything to put in new headlights? Thinking of upgrading mine!

    • @KCars
      @KCars  Před 2 lety

      Nope, it’s just a simple plug and play like I showed in the video. You do have to wire in the daytime running lights and turn signals but those are optional and I left those out
