      @@dwylhq874 Well I appreciate your kind words, but I decided to stop uploading a year ago. Life just got so busy and I wasn’t really enjoying it anymore. I hope people still find my videos helpful.

    Seems like list is missing Ireland? Would love to see a mention for Chile as well

    Another great video Aman. I have thought of this subject and now find myself living on hard ground, well about sea level in Central New Zealand. Another place I consider a safer than average place is in Tasmania, the island state of Australia. Like NZ it's cool, well watered with hydro and wind power. Also a small population with some good soil is a bonus. The one unknown factor for Tasmania is it's close proximity to Melbourne, Australia's largest city. Well, I'm a citizen of both countries and its just a few air hours away. Aman, I wish you all the best with your inspiring videos.

    Did you look at precipitation? Rain and floods are also part of the climate crisis.
    Could you please also expand the list to more countries, because all of these countries are expensive to live in. Thank you.

    • @AmanLuthra
      @AmanLuthra  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes, that was considered in the list. Anywhere that has to deal with mass migration due to climate change will end up being very expensive because of high demand. Feel free to add your own countries in the comments!

    I thought climate change was shutting down the Gulf Stream which would affect Scandinavia & Europe. Would that change your assessments?

    • @AmanLuthra
      @AmanLuthra  Před rokem +1

      I don’t know if that’s true, but even so, European nations tend to take more climate action than anywhere else, which is necessary especially in the long term

      @AmanLuthra installing solar panels in a country of 25 million does basically nothing when India and China exist. And having them doesn't make you more resilient to climate change. Just less likely to do more damage.

  • @like_traveling_up_a_river

    Did you take sea level rise into account? I thought Singapore was at great risk from sea level rise.

      @AmanLuthra  Před rokem

      Yes I did. They have the resources to prepare for that.

    How they reacted to covid?. mass hysteria in action. as a practice run it had its uses. but as a deadly world wide pandemic?.
    as to the best places to live, no place will be good as I see it. but the best chances are Europe and America as we both have the will and money to react to events.

      Personally I disagree with the US. For the government, it’s not about helping the people or the environment. It’s about maximizing profits for the top 1%, especially in disaster situations, but the US has its advantages too.
