@@B00naterthats what heard back when Muhammad Ali was boxing they may have changed the laws but it was a law years ago
He used his boxing skills for good. He should be awarded not punished.
Antonio should not be censured or punished in any way for this. He should be lauded and pointed out as an example of a REAL MAN and protector of women and children. Good on him!! Do not apologize for doing the right thing, Antonio. You set the right example for your children who saw it all.
How you get into an argument w your girl so bad you beat her while watching Garfield
I was wondering the same thing!
There's no common sense to abusers and no morals........

Not to mention the fact that he apparently just hauled up and smacked some random kid that wasn't even his.
Even if it was, still wrong.@@dutchvanderbilt9969

I'm so glad he did not get punished for standing up for that woman and child. I applaud his actions.❤
The term all bark and no bite really highlighted that guy, even a random kid is not safe
If he’s so at ease to hit his wife in public then berate people and hit a random kid, can you imagine how crazy it has to be at home?
Out of all the movies. *A GARFIELD MOVIE?!*
It is so obvious you shouldn’t hit anyone but he’s so much dumber to do it *IN PUBLIC*

"Risking it all" has a wholesome meaning in this case.
Strong individuals with humility are respected more than strong individuals with arrogance.

God bless this man for defending that woman and child and for setting the right example for everyone in that theatre, including his own kids!
Never STOP standing up to bullies. My brothers & sisters, NEVER stop protecting the weak. 🙌🏾❤️
Unfortunately in our time you may be risking your freedom and future!

First of all, what…
And second, bots :/
Are you saying women are weak...?
No worries, we've got you covered!
Boxer wasn’t actually defending anyone, he just capitalized on the opportunity to not continue watching the Garfield movie
Pretty sure the movie wasn’t on during that but ok
I don't know who these people are, but Antonio is the HERO in this situation. It would be a travesty of justice to penalize Antonio in any way when he saved the lady, the child and taught the abuser a lesson
the abuser should have learned a long time ago. Through his apology, Antonio has demonstrated that he is courageous and has great family values and class. Thank you, Antonio! ❤ Greetings from California, USA!
This man is the definition of "why don't you pick on someone your own size"
I really hope he doesn't get permanently suspended. Not only was he defending people but I'd also call that self defense sense he was threatening him.
Why can someone do whatever thet want, police saying they can't do anything but if you defend by normal boundaries with self-control... What if he kept hitting her, everyone would just watch or what?!?
They came out and publicly said along the lines of they wish everyone had a boxer in their life. They wont push sanctions on him. Theres a better video of this situation that shows more
@@tanjaovsenik81 The police not doing anything doesn't surprise me. Unfortunately I know from experience.
Most likely a lot of people would either ignore it and not want to get involved. Unfortunately I also know from experience. Wasn't hit but in two incidents was stalked and in the other he wouldn't let my arm go. It's scary looking around for help only to have people either ignore you or believe your abuser.
@@Yerocco Oh that's good news. Shoot I really feel for that. So many abused people could get a break.

Hitting your wife during a movie is psychopathic.

His fists are lethal weapons as he is a trained fighter. Respect for his apologies, but that guy had to be humbled.
Biggest myth of all time, no such thing as hands being "registered as lethal weapons".

If he is suspend him for sticking up for an abused woman they would be crazy. They would not be able to handle the backlash of the internet. The people would ban them like we've all done with budwiser and the rest. We the people could bankrupt them. They should celebrate him for standing up and risking his livelihood. Thank you Antonio for being a real man and defending a helpless woman.
You seriously come up w the most unique, unheard of (for me, anyway) stories! 🎉❤
For those not in the know, when you start training to become a professional boxer, after a certain point your body is considered a "deadly weapon" from a legal standpoint because you've trained it and yourself to be able to hurt people, severely and immediately. Fun fact.
So you immediately lose your right to self defense because you are a weapon
Heck eith that mentality my own mind is a deadly weapon because of how I had to become so clever in dealing my brother
You see how foolish that sound my mind (a brain) being a deadly weapon
@@GamePlays_1230bruh are you even reading what he said?
Does that go for MMA fighters too?
@@rool7956yes no doubt MMA fighters are more deadlier than boxers cause of wrestling and kicking aside punching
@@Aneliusei get what hes saying but to me that whole stupid “your getting your license revoked” is plain dumb, fighting is meant to be for self defense for yourself and others, obviously that abuser didnt care and still got his ass knock down
I bet the abuser will never ever punch anybody anymore, at least not in public.
Garfield..even the mention will always be a humble reminder.
He’s an abuser he probably will do it again they always do especially when they don’t feel sorry
He shouldn’t be suspended from boxing. He should get a medal for being a hero.
Dawg beating your wife at the Garfield movie is wild 💀💀💀
was the movie that bad 🤔
As an ex professional fighter (did it till i was 31) who has been in a similar situation where a guy was aggressive and i pinned him to the ground i nearly got charged with assault with a deadly weapon
I was arrested and at my court date they found a video a bystander took that proved my innocence (thank you random bystander you may not know it but you possibly saved my life and current career as a mechanic)
Now heres the thing i didnt have a weapon because being a professional fighter legally means they can class you as a deadly weapon if you assault someone
The justice system is fucked
Wow, you got in trouble for defending yourself? That is so gay.
@@ericpratt984Chris Pratt!
But they have to prove to a jury that you didn't act in self defense, to the point that the jury is convinced there is no reasonable doubt.
It's shit that you have to go through the hassle and the uncertainty and the possibility of harsh consequences, but you should have been cleared video or no video.

@@Cobra658 Sometimes they did too good a job at separating their victims from their support groups before their victims ever realize they need out. Then, the victims know all too well just how dangerous and obsessed their abusers are. That means you have to become selective about when or how you escape. If you try to escape at the wrong time, and fail, it is like being locked alone in a room with an angry bear, so you can obviously have your life ended. And if you want to involve others in helping you, you have to endanger their safety too. But you're right that sometimes they stay out of ignorance and those cases depress me so much. It all does.

Much respect !!
Okay - thing is, as a professional FIGHTER (martial arts, boxing, etc) your training can basically make your hands/feet lethal weapons. THATS why they had to look into it. The fact the boxer DID NOT want to fight, AND APOLOGIZED showed he was defending, not being aggressive.
Anyways. Thats my opinion as to WHY it had to be evaluated.
Hell yeah Antonio no apology needed. Your a hero bro nice work
Damn that guy found out he wasn't the toughest guy at the Garfield movie.
Abusers and bullies will often times only go after people they consider weaker than them so I ain’t surprised
Antonio had better not lose his license. He did what was right by protecting another lady and an innocent CHILD!! Great job, Antonio.
Once a bully always a bully.. it takes someone with talent to teach bullies a lesson.

I hope Antonio is ok and won't be in trouble sometimes we need someone who can protect us from abusers
I think he should get an extra KO on his record because there is video evidence of him protecting someone. And he tried multiple times to de-escalate the situation but the man was intent on hurting anyone he could.
The guy about to be sent to jesus if he did another K.O😂
Where in the video you see he protecting someone?? Seems you and i didnt watch the same vid. I watched the vid. No where do i see that he protecting someone. Did you see who started the abuse and who hit first between the dude and wife? No! Cuz there isnt any footage of it. For all we know its the wife who started it smh. Tell me... is the boxer protecting someone than if maybe the one he thinks he protects started it? Nope.
The fact he did this in the theater for a movie for kids and hit a child that wasn't his? I hope they charge him to the full extent of the law. I really hope they assess the context and don't strip Antonio's license. It's not like he sucker punched someone. He was threatened and responded to that threat. Not anyone but the abusers fault for threatening people who's abilities he didn't know.
Thank you for protecting the innocent at theater

Bro messed with the number one person you don’t wanna mess with
I appreciate the professionalism of the fighter. His instincts made him go into fighting stance but tried to shake hands, as they do before a fight and the other still kept his hands up. Him being a professional fighter doesn’t mean that he can’t defend himself.
Thank you Antonio for doing something and not just recording and posting on social media like most people would do.
This is why I have so much respect for boxers as almost all of them are really good people and just strong
Kudos to him, after knocking him out he went in the cinema row by row apologizing and even before he had to knock him out he tried his best deescalating the situation, also finally he wont lose his rights to fight professionally : )
