OMG....the scene where they were driving back and discover the seats are wet is the reaction I was waiting for...and it got cut.
The entire climax of the episode was cut out lol
I thought he'd just stopped to comment but nope, that was it... The wannabe shag and trip home where they all vacate the car in the lay-by and argue were missing...I don't understand
How disappointing
If he cuts every scene that is offensive there will only be the opening credits left....
It's a shame it was cut but it was obviously done for some sort of copyright reasoning
"Spead em, il be there in half an hour" always gets me 😅🤣🤣🤣 we definitely all had a friend like Jay growing up hahaha
When you realise that you were the friend like Jay, it's a mind-f**k lol
As severe as him? I knew a much milder version of him.
@@davidz3879 not as severe but definitely a bullshitter.
@@joshhanson6538 😆😆😆 that was me too
I had a bullshitter friend like Jay when I was a kid. My favourite memory of him was one time he came into school and claimed he'd got drunk the night before. We asked him what he'd drank and he said he couldn't remember and tried to bullshit his way through this story. But we persisted with asking him what he'd had to get him drunk and eventually he panicked and said wine gums.
"Clean it Neil!" "No, it's your car" "It's your spunk!" is one of the greatest moments in British comedy. Even the Queen is said to have loved it.
Got a source on that?
@@Seltro1 Charlie told me.
@@Seltro1 Source: trust me bro
Jays Dad really shines and explains why Jay is such a bullshitter .
His dad steals his confidence lol .
No. Jay's just a little bullshitter
Steals his confidence you know, I was blind before but now I see it 🤣
That’s actually one of the saddest parts of the show I think
@@TomGodson95 year hes a thief he should be charged with theft lol
'It's like a Mcdonald's chip' 😅 😅 😅
Damn, sucks the end scene got cut. I love that car scene, “You’ve spunked on my seats” “Some of it could be her juice”
Classic Neil line there.😂
Jay is actually quite a damaged soul and it's down to his dad, the longer the series continues the more this becomes apparent making Jay even more loveable.
I mean it was revealed by Neil that Jay told him he was abused by a neighbor. Not just a possibility. It's the truth.
@@avadakedavra69 and that he also went to a shrink (psychiatrist)

Shame the end had to be cut, Simon outside with the girl is hilarious.
Skins is a cult classic for the same generation who watched the inbetweeners
Channel 4 repeat The Inbetweeners very frequently, but never Skins.
Yup Skins and Inbetweeners!
All of skins is on Netflix, but if he has to cut this amount of the inbetweeners, I'm not sure there would be much point in him reacting to skins :(
The joke in the toilets got cut too lol “you definitely take after your mum in the cock size department” is that coz it might offend a certain group of ppl? Lol

The pool table being in the school is only because they are in "Six Form", they are the oldest in the school and as you are not required to come back to school after Year 11, the Six Form common room (the room they are in) is usually a bit more of a chilled out area. Other kids in YR7-11 won't have access to this room. It's more to treat them more like adults now they have technically 'left school'.
They still call it a 6th form, even though they mangled the names of the other years?
In my day, the first five years of comprehensive school were years 1 to 5, hence year 6 was 6th form.
Kids today... mutter.. mutter...
At my old high school in Doncaster, we had pool and snooker tables at age 14. Anyone from year 9 to 13 could play on them.
We had a pool table in my school but I don't ever remember anyone using it during school hours, only after school (it was in the gym so everyone had access to it).
@@welshgit even in this show they refer to them as year 12 which is the same age as most people go to college (my college is still named The 6th Form College), I know there are schools that have their own 6th form but they used to be rare.
In my school we didn't have a pool table but we had a kettle, toaster and music system. I am reasonably sure they would have rather we had a pool table than a music system.
"Thank god none of that went down the wrong pipe." After Jay's line.
You're doing your own material now.🤣
Perfect timing with the gulp of water, i literally saw it coming when you took a sip as ive seen these episodes so many times i knew exactly what was coming
I just found it funny afterwards, when he said thank god that did not go down the wrong pipe. What a time to say that after his reaction.
The genius about this show is that every character you can attribute them and how they act to real kids and friends you knew at school. Especially Jay, the kid who'll say any bollocks to impress everyone, and even though he can seem disgusting on the face of it, he has a heart of Gold (eg in this episode, telling the girl about Simon and saying he "had a cool car"- previous to all the hilarious bravado). The name "Inbetweeners" fits them and many kids perfectly too - not cool enough to be popular, but not uncool enough to be unpopular.
Interestingly, James Buckley who plays Jay has a pretty popular Twitch channel (& YT) called "Completed It Mate", which is a name & meme derived from a quote of his in a later Season when he declares he's completed a game (Football Manager) that can't be completed - If time and your computer allowed it could literally last forever lol.
4:49 Sometimes, funnily enough, it's actually called the "common room", it's more for the older kids, probably to get them used to a college/university type environment.
8:25 I think half the UK found out a couple of years ago, the fuel pump icon on your dashboard has an arrow next to it to show you which side of the car your fill cap is on. At least in the UK...possibly in the US also?
15:58 Cardinal sin, don't take a drink when Jay is still saying his lines.
The older kids being the sixth formers, aka the inbetweeners, the very people this show is all about.
The common room isn't to get you used to uni, it's because you study less subjects at A level. You often end up with one lesson from 9-10 and then 4h gap until your next lesson. You need somewhere to go for that 4h period with no lessons in your timetable
@@bmxerqf882 home. Anyone could get home in 4 hours
I've never had 4 hours ever I've had 2 in a row in fact I only had 2 lessons today but I still never had 4 hours
@@samuelpinder1215 well I lived an hours walk from my school, it wasn't worth walking all that way and then turning around again.
It's also about the schools reputation, they'd rather offer you a space on their premises to hang out in rather than a group of students going and causing chaos in the town center.
When I was in year 12 I had a lesson from 8-9 on Thursdays and then my next lesson was at 1pm that afternoon
@@bmxerqf882 one week on thursday I'm not required to go in until 11:30 as I dont have anything in the first 2 lessons
Glad your queens ok mate.
Ours is f#$%ed! 😭
Hahahahah jay is elite. Cannot be matched. One of the funniest characters in British TV. We’re never going to see anything like it again
4:34 In British schools the top two years (17 and 18 year olds) get what's called a 'common room', which is like a staff room for students. There's usually a shitload of posters on the wall, a kettle or coffee machine for beverages, a microwave for whatever crap you've brought in, a card table for the hustlers, and if there isn't a pool table then something has gone horribly wrong and somebody will quickly steal one from somewhere. A common room _must_ always have a pool table!
The reason is because the final two years at school are not 9-4 like the previous years were, the 17 and 18 year olds that have chosen to stay in school (you can legally leave school at 16 over here) have chosen subjects that they want to get higher grades in but they only have like 3 classes in a day - this means an average day might consist of 9-10 Art, 10-11 free, 11-12 lunch, 12-1 French, 1-2 free, 2-3 Art again. And so during the free time you could go home, go somewhere else, or sit in the common room playing poker for cash while talking shit about teachers.
This sounds exacly like my 6th form experience. You get it. Haha
I've just seen your answer rob after I posted mine I think I'd prefer yours haha
So much cut from the end!
“Is that common over there?” It’s called the common room and it’s usually were 6 years hang around. We didn’t have a pool table, but we had a tv and table tennis!
In secondary we had pool and darts and at the end of the year someone nicked the dartboard and climbed out of the window and legged it over the field
I remember my common room, two of my friends smoked joints and cigarettes while playing techno music on the final day
We got an open annex next to geography and a boom box 🤣
@@j9lorna sounds about right lol
@@charg1nmalaz0r51 yep, wellacre boys school in Flixton, early 90's. I always expected the pool balls to have found their way into someone's sock - scum style. Cannot wait for your reaction to the fashion show episode
@Carl Bland and the films
Hands down the best thing about this show, is no matter where you grew up, or how long ago, you know a friend who is the exact same as every character
Tip for always getting the correct side of the car for the petrol tank. The petrol gauge should have a picture of a petrol pump, the tank is on the side of the tube/nozzle or the arrow. (This is in the UK, but can't see why the US wouldn't be similar).
Not every car has that feature. Even in the UK.
Most do, not all
Works about 50% of the time
You should also watch Friday Night Dinner. Its a UK comedy series. Very funny. It has Will in (Simon Bird)
Not as good though

I didn't realize how much of this episode was cut out. The ending scene when they are arguing on the side of the road while driving home is the best part of the episode.
"I'm not having sex with you Simon"
“But Jay said…!?”
"Jay said what.....?"
Yeah in every episode now he's cut out the best parts, I don't know why, there doesn't seem to be any copyrighted music on there as all the music's been replaced
@@TheTyCyan Simon shows his ass so he prob just decided to cut the entire ending as it was quicker.
Little kids bullying older kids or adults isn't just a scene. It's real life. Our youngsters are like feral wolves. They are savage.
Fun fact: there is a little arrow next to the fuel filler sign on the dashboard that indicates which side of the vehicle the filler cap is on
Schools get paid per pupil and 6th formers no longer legally have to attend so they usually offer a few perks to encourage them to stay on after fifth year.
I'm originally from Sweden, and the school I went to when I was 13-15 years old had quite a large room in the basement with ping pong tables, pool tables and coaches for us to hang out in during our brakes if we wanted to. It was great. I don't know how it is nowadays (I'm getting on a bit), but back then I think it was quite common for Swedish schools to have break areas like that. 🙂
@@Frank75288 lol
Always loved the set up for this episode. The fact they all decide to go along on a caravan holiday which they didn't actually think would be good just so they could call Jay out for lying
Fun fact: David Schaal who plays Jays dad was born in Alberqurque NM
A common room is in most schools for kids in their last two years of education before going to Uni or college. Many kids will have free lessons where they can relax/complete homework and socialising. There is normally some activities such as table football, pool table, tv , music etc. Not every school of course but many state schools will have such a social area. It’s for the older kids that are slowly becoming adults.... the “in betweeners”
tell us more
man, i wish we had that here in the states. I remember being in elementary school and middle school (junior high) watching tv shows of high schoolers thinking how cool it was that they could chill in such settings _during_ school. But that never happened in real life because it's not common in the US. If any school had that, i assume it must be the private schools. Or any school that isn't public/comprehensive
@Ben Lawson ah thanks for that. I genuinely thought it was due to their age. In between being a child and an adult. That awkward stage where you don’t want to go to a kids birthday party but can’t get served in a pub! Thank you

Is a pool table common in a school? Yeah, it’s called a common room. 😂
Glad to see you're enjoying the show, it's one of my favorites. Never fails to make me laugh. If you're looking for more recommendations, the guy that plays the grumpy teacher, Greg Davies does stand-up and also hosts a show called Taskmaster, where a selection of comedians do silly and funny tasks for the chance to win a golden trophy of Greg's head. There's multiple seasons with new comedians each series too.
@@andywrong3247 Yeah, I know what you mean. I haven't seen TBOMNH, was that a stand up one? I've seen the other two. He's on the cusp of being great and being shit lol. Maybe it's his particular brand of humor, the giant man child who struggles to act like a grown up?
I won a bet with myself that you'd crack up at the scene where they were eating in the caravan while Jay's dad was in the toilet.
Yes, there was such things classed as the 'common room' normally dominated by older pupils, access only if they let you in, back in the day. They had gaming of various genres as in computer gaming and/or conventional gaming like pool, ping pong, air hockey, etc. My experience of such places was over circa 95/96. Where common rooms were like being in a pub minus alcohol or direct access to drinks or snacks. Everyones common room might have been different, as in access to vending machines in situ. Ours were out in the concourse.
Love that you keep reviewing these :) I’m along for the ride! Funny thing is I had a ‘slightly newer’ version of the car as my first 😂😂 But in baby blue and 6th form was uncomfortably similar to this show!
I think instead of cutting the video, you could just remove the copyright footage from the bottom corner and leave your reaction. I'm guessing most of your audience has seen inbetweeners before so we know what's happening, it's just fun seeing your reaction to it :)
I think putting them on Dailymotion or similar would be a better idea. Quite a few reaction channels link their reactions to them.
16:15 "thank god none of that went down the wrong pipe" wasn't that Jay's advice too?
At high school I went to back in late 80s , had a" Break Room"
Which was like ,size of two classrooms ..
It was near to school entrance .. on lower floor to ,head master and teachers lounge. Which was above "Break Room".
It had a tick shop ,where you could buy sweets ,choc and drinks ..pop etc.
And it had a dj that'd play music .. plenty of seating areas ... cannot recall any games section..
There gain we used to take playing cards to school , or play toss the coin to wall .and whoever was closest ,won the lot .
Your timing to take a sip around half way through this was classic!

In Scotland, we had a pool table at Primary School (5 years old to 12 years old) then High School, we had a pool table and computer games (12 to 18 year old) then college or Uni was just pubs and getting wasted mostly, then when I started working in an insurance firm (Aagon) There was a specific massive room for R&R (rest and recreation) had a pool table, Sky TV, xboxes and PlayStations, also the old arcade games like pacman... and on a Friday, we got Pizza and beer and where all sent home early... 30 odd years I've witnessed that kind of relaxation in a highly stressful environment... it helps with productivity a lot...
"Is that Common over there?" Yup, its known as a Common room for senior students. We had a TV back in the nineties :)
I had a yellow car when this show was popular. Kids used to shout ‘Bus Wanker’ at me all the time. 😂😂
At my school, in the sixth form (typically students aged 17-18) we had a pool table and, oddly, a bar billiards table. There were also the usual dartboard, ping-pong table and foosball table. We also had a bar serving beer and wine to those aged 18 or over.
1. When I was at school we had a pool table in the year 12 common room; 2. Tell Queen Boomer that on your petrol gauge there should be a little pic of a petrol pump with an arrow that points to which side the petrol tank is. Great reaction btw can't wait to see more 👍

No pool table at my Sixth Form common room but we had a 65" TV and would blare out the music channels from time to time.
The inbetweeners was filmed in my area whilst I was in year 12-13 (alot of the extras actually went to my school 😂)
A particularly iconic episode in season 2 involving a bus stop was filmed right outside my school and the kids were year 7s.
Also 2 of my mates can be seen bunking off in the background 😅

We also had a pool table in my Sixth Form Common Room. We had both cues confiscated and threw most of the balls through the very thin walls before inventing a game that needed only three balls and no cues (similar to Air Hockey). We had quite a few pool and snooker tables at my high school in the 90s. It was over two floors too.
Just got it! Jay’s dad. Same actor (and character!) in The Office watching the two dogs shagging in the warehouse.

Sixth Form Common Room. Ours was great. We had a snack bar (a really good one), a pool table, a stereo hi fi (this was a long time ago), a table football and the Senior library/study area upstairs. Had a lot of fun there in the Lower Sixth. But of course were too cool to bother with it in the Upper Sixth. We went into town at lunchtime instead (sometimes to the pub ;)
We had a snooker table, pool table, table tennis (ping Pong) table, hot and cold drinks and snack machines, TV and pinball..... great common room.
Love watching your vids. Have a nice time in Greece 🙂
Yes omg I’ve been waiting for this!!
😂😂😂😂😂 love watching this again with your reactions
My sixth form had a pool table and two snooker tables. This was back in 1986.
It's a common thing for kids this age (16-18) to have permanent access to a common room where there's often food and drinks available, chairs and sofas and tables to sit at, and maybe a pool or babmington table. This is because they have lots of free periods where they can study or hang out with friends. Younger kids don't get free periods which is why they only need a dining room.
Funny story...
I got to the semi-finals of a 1985 Pontins talent show and it was hosted at Camber Sands!
I spent all night watching "Stir Crazy" for the 1000th time in the room.

We had a pool table in 6th form (which is when Inbetweeners is set 16-18 year woods basically) and we all used to put cups in the pockets to catch the balls so we didn’t have to pay! We also worked out in the end how to put the cue up through the table to flick the catch to let the balls out! I was in 6th form 95-97 so defo used to happen!
