  • Dozens of pieces of heavy-duty logging machines abandoned in the forest. What you see here is about 1/20th of all the gear on the property. 3 tank drills lines up here, and several others scattered about elsewhere. Kenworth off-road trucks parked perfectly and left to rot in the BC rain forest.,

It may be worth 140 bucks a ton, once it is brought to where they buy it (which would probably cost you more to get it there than you would get for it). When it was left there they were paying 40 bucks a ton (which is why it is there now...).
I could poke around that sort of junk all day though......lotsa fun!

I really want to resurrect one of those old trucks. Their body's may rust away but the engine would make a fun project to fix up just for the heck of it.

You best have a huge check book if you attempted to run one of this bunch again.

if i was there, i would be that ass hole with a gas can and a good battery trying to fire up and drive one of the "complete" rigs.. probable a 6X6 something that would have a chance of plowing through the trees after XX years of sitting

loggers don't often make the tens of millions of dollars that they say they do on bullshit shows like Axmen on the History Channel. They tend to nab up what they can cheap things like old used army trucks and other stuff for example can be modified for there needs they just run them till they kill them. If they can't fix it they leave it as most of the places that they are working maybe so isolated that finding a part store maybe a hundred miles away. Some times the machine may have been built and modified in such a way that custom parts would have to be made by the company that owns it and making parts...... well they may be worth more to make than what they spent on the machine so they abandon it.
