      The Red Sun is part of Japanese mythology and religion, it's a symbol which is been used from the 7th Century. Japanese word for Japan is "Nihon" which means "The origin of the sun". That's why the Anti-Japanese movement developed by many Communists in Japan, because the whole country is referring to the religion.

    • @user-nz8rv8ft5q
      @user-nz8rv8ft5q Před 3 lety +10

      One Japanese veteran said: better three Americans than a single Russian.
      Because in Manchuria Japanese met experienced war veterans that already went through the hell of the eastern frontline.
      My grandpa was in an artillery crew during the war in Manchuria. Moreover, there was the area of south Sakhalin and Kurile islands with a bunch of Japanese towns.
      They were living very good comparing to the early japan because new soviet administration did :
      1)cancelled rules of 12 hours working day and made it 8 hours for everyone, made equal salary for everyone(during emperor times Koreans had 10-12% less salary, women and children 50% less officially)
      2)opened bazaars because before it was forbidden and the economy was highly militarized for Japanese citizens before moving to socialism and farmers had to give 30-50% amount of harvested crops(paid by fixed price equal to production costs) and other they could sell rest on bazaar or to the government(production costs+20-30% more). And that was a regular case in USSR in for example, in central Asia. Before they had to give the most of the harvest to a landlord and save a small part to themselves.
      3)no owners of companies and other private structures as before: factories were united in trests and profit that was made during the production used for towns and state facilities-it is socialism during Stalin times. I'm too lazy to write all of those things that were made.
      All of that caused an explosion of socialism in Japan, in 1946 soviet border service caught around 250 Japanese people running in USSR through the border because they wanted equal salary and better life during those times. In 1947 there was repatriation and many of the people didn't want back in Japan: that made relationships worse, but cold war machine was about to start.
      USSR became a lot worse after reforms of Khrushchev and Kosygin that made planned soviet economy monopolistic government capitalism instead.
