I’m Irish so our depth isn’t as good but its not bad either considering our rugby population is far far less than most rugby nations. Especially South Africa’s.
    James Ryan. Iain Henderson
Tadhg Beirne. Ryan Baird. Ultan Dillane. Devin Toner. Ross Molony

    Darren O’Shea.
    Frank Bradshaw-Ryan
Some big athletic young guns coming through for Ireland too. Look out for Thomas Ahern, Snyman’s teammate at Munster. He’s the same height as Snyman at 6ft 9” and is very fast. Used to be a winger! They could almost be brothers in how they play. And he’s only 21. Gavin Thornbury is 6ft 9 also. Darren O’Shea is also 6ft 9. Ryan Baird is a new breed of athletic second rows. Jack Dunne and Cormac Izuchukwu both 6ft 8”. And heavy boys. Kieran Treadwell, Brian Deeny & Paddy Kelly, Charlie Ryan all really young and all 6ft 7”. Then you’ve got Devin Toner 6ft 11” & Jean Kleyn 6ft 8” there also and both playing very well last season and this season. The top 5 are the strongest current locks in Ireland atm.

Gents, let's forget that whole aggressive whatever. RG is a baller. Has been since High School. He can do the #4 but he is more of a #5. Don't get me wrong, he can play both positions... but he is not an Etzebeth type player naturally. His size allows him to be, but he is more of a ball in hand (Etzebeth has pace too, don't get me wrong), offload, support runner for days and chows a gap type of Lock. He would rather run around you and offload than smash you type vibes.
I'll offend a lot of Lions supporters and some Bok supporters by saying this... but Mostert doesn't make bench if you have a fit Etzebeth, Lood and RG. Uphelele as we say in my language.
And this guy is no viking. He is a straight boertjie from Pretoria finish and klaar. We had to give Duane Thor because he looks like the actor . 😆

@NAP Shush it. The Boer are of Dutch and or German descent and those countries are literally joined onto Scandinavia. They are all closely related branches of the same tree - a northern European Germanic tree. The difference is like Cook Islanders vs NZ Maori - so similar its not worth arguing over.
