- A friend asked me to make her blueberry bagels so I decided to test on camera. I didn't know where to find the dried blueberries so I used fresh blueberries and blended it into a paste to distribute it equally into the dough.

These look so good. I have Celiac Disease so I'm going to try them with gluten free flour. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Being a New Yorker currently living in a southern state, oh how I miss my NY cinnamon raisin & egg bagels.
Kelley I have cinnamon raisin bagels here already too.
@@TheBarePantryShow : I've got the coffee pot and coffee, together with your cinnamon raisin bagels and scoops of fresh made butter--I will be in 7th heaven.

Hi thank you for the recipe!
I made the bagels and they turned out excellent in texture, goldie shade, and rise, but they just tasted like yeast with the slightest bit of blueberry. I followed your measurements. Only thing I did different was I proofed the first mixture for 1hr & 30 mins and the second one for 30minutes. I kneaded for 15 mins after the first proof then 10 mins the next proof. Did I over proof and that somehow affected the flavor? I’m new to baking and just wanted to give these a try.
Yeah don't give that yeast too much time to over proof.
HI Thank you for this recipe. And i apologize for being away for awhile.Really lucky friends, yum fresh bagels.
Who are you? You said you apologize for being away, but this is literally your first comment on my page.
@@TheBarePantryShow I have watched and comment on your making pretzels ,5 cookies 1 recipe and i think making virgin coconut oil. . It has been awhile since I watched and commented. I went back thru older videos to try and figure out the last one I watched.
Thank you for the easy recipe, my daughters love it. What can I do if I wanted the bagels to be softer like Thomas’ bagels from the store
You would want to boil them longer for chewier texture
Buy Thomas’ if you like crap bagels.
@@robburch1you’re just rude for no good reason.
NICE VIDEO, THANKS FOR SHARING HAPPY NEW DAY
Cool
Do you have to use bread flour or is regular white flour alright? Or will it make a difference?
Apparently bread flour works better for bagels to give it that classic chewy texture. But you can use all purpose flour if that is all you have, if you do not mind that it will be less chewy :)
where is recipe
What temperature for the oven
I think she said 400
No recipe?
Never use a wisk
Hello, my question is, at what stage can I add eggs for egg bagels?

The recipe? #P lavazza??
Thank you.
What Brand is your bullet proofer?
you didn't knead the dough long enough. If you want to get a nice, chewy bagel, the dough needs to be kneaded for around 15 minutes until the dough is smooth and not tacky. Your dough was still tacky after it rose.
I make all kinds of bagels , mine are melt in the mouth no yeast
U really can cook
