    Female prepper here. I must say, I love hearing these big, tough guys saying "boo boo" kit and "ouchy, boo-boo" kit. It's pretty adorable.

    Thanks for the review. With Winter coming, I have to deal with Lake Effect Snow (Lake County Ohio) a lot in my end of the State. I really don't want to waste time looking for something with Cold Fingers during an Emergency, so Organization is a Must Have. Helpful Tip: leave a little Key Chain Flashlight attached to the inside of the First Aid Kit. Makes a big difference if you need to get a Bandage out during the Night. Take Care.

    Pouches are good for every load out, It took some time and saving up but everything that needs to be in a pouch is, Water, fire, Med (Boo Boo kit) Navigation, and Survival. And there all labeled with name tapes... Def a lot easier looking through your pack in a high stress situation...

    Great review! One Tigris offers great products. I have a couple of their pouches and an awesome tarp. I also like Orca pouches as well. My first aid pouch is by Orca and it came with the red cross patch. It too has a well designed interior. I affixed my blood type and NKDA (no known drug allergies) Velcro patches on the pouch. However, I may just buy that break away pouch...super idea! As a retired military paramedic, like you, I like to be prepared for those severe trauma situations. BTW I didn't know you were a Buckeye. I graduated from school in Columbus and attended OSU until I dropped out to join the military. Go Bucks!

    pounches are nice. I have some. but they add up in weight, most are 3-5oz and if you have 4. it adds a pound to your pack. check out the equinox zipper bag, 2oz and decked out with inner pockets

      That is a great point about total weight. It's often better to have a single, larger accessory to hold our gear in an integrated, organized fashion

    Never tried One Tigris. I do love my Maxpedition and Condor though.
    Where did you get your patches made?

    • @ThePreparedWanderer
      @ThePreparedWanderer  Před 7 lety +1

      The Studio is the company I use for my patches. Not bad price

    • @hfortenberry
      @hfortenberry Před 4 lety

      My favorite brands for the pouches and attachments (molle) items are One Tigris and Condor. I have several Maxpedition too but they are the same quality as Condor and One Tigris but more expensive. I've also noticed that One Tigris and Condor seem to be slightly better in that they are a bit more roomy for what they are designed to hold and they always seem to go the extra mile when designing their products. A good example of this is that tension strap on the One Tigris pouch that allows you to open up the pouch as a shelf on your chest. They really seem to put a lot of thought into their products. If I had a CZcams channel, I'd totally be an affiliate for those two companies.

    A nice review, but these are quite expensive for their size. They appear to be even higher priced in relation to comparable gear of similar design and quality. Not one my budget
