The thing that really bothered me was that he doesn't need anywhere close to a full bar of meter to do a super move. It allows him to just spam his incredibly high damage attacks with perfect accuracy if you wiff or drop a combo.
They actually took this gimmick from his original appearance in KOF 96 in which he didn't need bars to perform super moves.

@@FogHazard If that werent bad his boss super if you try and get away he throws the tornado. Worst part about the tornado from it is that if you try and BLOCK that its a guaranteed guard break
Seeing him spamming tornados is giving me PTSD to goenitz spamming tornados in Snk Vs Capcom.
Only now its even WORSE
I’m proud I was able to beat him considering I consider myself to be well below average at playing fighting games. I tried for hours with CYS before realising my weak link was Chris, so I dropped him and replaced with Rugal.
Learned pretty quick that Rugal’s level 1 super absolutely goobers him, he can’t figure out where the Laser is meant to hit so he just stands there teabagging and eats the entire thing.
Yashiro was my saving grace, I spammed Earth Tilt and Breakdance Kick, used Shermie as a Meter Sponge (Sorry Shermie) but did get a few lucky frankensteiners in and finally just blitzed with the laser until he died. My new stray took a total of 9 attempts to get the groove.
I still consider Max Igniz to be the toughest boss I’ve faced but this was pretty tough.
I’ve heard The General is the most difficult boss ever made outside of MUGEN, but I’ve never owned a copy of Kaiser Knuckle so I can’t say with certainty.
Was this Goenitz SNK Boss Syndrome enough???
He was so much worse then. Still a problem for a different reason now..

Well people said rugal was easy. Snk definitely felt like " oh we're being nice by making rugal easy but you guys didn't appreciate that. Here,we enhance goenitz for you guys to fight"
To add to your headaches Goenitz can actually do a super with only half a level!!! :(. However, his "Shinbatsu Desu" move isn't as gory as it used to be from KOF 96. His boss-only Level 2 Tornado is just as bad as Rugal's Menacing Walk, but it's a lot more flexible on Goenitz. If you block it, then it's an instant guard crush!
Actually, he can do a level 1 super with any remaining meter gauge he has (especially if there’s little meter gauge.)

That HSDM from 2002 UM implemented from the boss Goenitz in XV has 100% invincibility frames which is absolutely bizarre!

Aside from not needing meter to do (level 1?) super, his taunt earns him a meter. I guess they have to implement meter charge from KOF 96 somewhere too

You haven't had a taste of the combination of blocking the tornado follow by unblockable command grab loop yet.
He is the 1 who took Rugal's right eye, so is quiet befitting for his toughness.
And when he took Rugal's eye, _Leopold Goenitz was only 18!_

WAY worst than Rugal, I can barely hit Goenitz he’s even worst than his 96 and 98 UM counterparts I could handle those just started playing figuring out an AI exploit.
