Yes!!! Finally I’ve read a comment from someone who understands. The music industry couldn’t handle her high standards, wisdom and value she know that she is. For her time she was sooo wise. On her MTV Unplugged album she talked about how she was losing her mind trying to keep up with that and she just got tired. She said they called her crazy and deranged and she didn’t care bc she had peace. I just love her music.

I do not judge them in any way because I understand “the industry” is a psychopathic evil profit driven machine which needs to be held accountable! The current female rappers are the true victims. I cry for all of them. Tragically the general consensus is “but look at all the millions of dollars they’re making” to which I say they’re selling their soul & become trapped before realizing it. I was at this. It was a surprise headlining performance after a whole night of acts backed by the Roots. Common, One of the Jonas brothers, Darryl Hall, Queen Latifah. Then out of nowhere, Black Thought introduces Lauryn Hill. Giant dance party despite the 102 temp outside. Also, it was a free show.

SO SHE LEFT EVERYONE CONFUSED. THINK ABOUT IT IF YOU PAY GOOD MONEY TO HEAR YOU FAV SONGS YOU WANNA HEAR THEM AT LEAST CLOSE TO WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE. SHE MADE THEM SOUND NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINALS.
