Nah. ATB regens too slow for how quickly you can burn through it, managing it is a hassle if you aren't strong enough to win the fight in one go. They should've either committed to a full-on action game or stuck with the FF13(-2) system. Just just give each outfit a paradigm role and unlockable ability set and call it a day.

Such an amazing video! My favourite garbs are the outfits from 13 and 13-2 because of the four free slots. The build that i made on Hard mode was to have Etro's knight with the strongest staff and Soul of Thamasa+ (still have to upgrade it into Soul of Minwu) for the Strong Finale bonus, then have 3 spells with the Multiple Targets +30% auto-ability and finally Elementa lv* on the last slot, with Multiple Targets +20%. The Multiple Targets increase the damage of ANY AoE spell/physical attack, which gives me a 110% damage bonus on Elementa. This with Strong Finale, Faith and debuffs made the Bhunivelze+ fight very easy lol
I got all achievements for this game back when it came out and haven't played it since so I don't remember shit. Thank you for this. I do wonder what my takes would have been if my past self could see your list. haha
Dragoon, Dark Knight, and Sacred Knight...ah brings back memories. I don't remember much because I played it so long ago but I do remember using these three the most.
Lightning is so pretty omg I dont see why FF13 got so much hate. I loved the 2nd game. Only one I was able to beat 🤣.....easy mode. Im replaying the whole trilogy at the moment on normal.

Nothing even comes close to Elementa Yuna ❤ EDIT: in some areas before doing every sidequest Elementa can be a hindrance against enemies that absorb certain elements forcing you to manually use certain spells (mainly wildlands enemies). However once you do every sidequest the heals don't even matter as the move still kills even when you see green numbers 😅 Current setup on day 10: SHADOW TROOPER: Demon Claw + Guardian's Protector Locket Pendant + Thorn of Courage Beat Down + Blitz(Str 150) Mediguard (str150) + Evade (str 150) SPIRA'S SUMMONER: Chaos Revenge + Summoner's Shield Witch Rosary + Enbracelet Elementa + Deprotect (ailment duration 10%) + Deshell (ailment duration 10%) + Imperil (aiment duration 10%) SOLDIER 1ST CLASS: Flesh Render + Goddess Grace Early Blooming Corsage + Enlister Gloves Heavy Slash + Mediguard (str 150) + Attack (str 150) + Beat Down (str 150) I should point out I don't really want/need some of these abilities but I just put them on for the passives. Spira's Summoner and,Watery Chorus are my main go to garbs in the game. Elementa is amazing and pairing it with Chaos Revenge can so amazing damage. It's gotten me through some hard situations alongside Watery Chorus and Equilibrium or Midnight Mauve.

@@locloudanerpg hell yeah it was and i dont regret it at all. i know youre definitely a fan of the trilogy even now but unfortunately, i was not and that hasnt changed for me. by the time 13-3 was out, i was just soooo done that i was willing to do that easy easy mode just to finish out the trilogy.

I agree with the shit tier but disagree with some other ones. Soldier 1st Class is a Mid-tier to me, it only helps at the beginnning of the game. Shadow Trooper to me is a top-tier because of its strenght and the jump ability, i'm not a pro but i'm not bad at the game and Shadow Trooper is a great garb for physical attackers. The God tier i only agree with Soldier of Peace, the other ones really depend on how good are your setup and it is too sitution speific, i'd list Equilibrium + in god tier because it boost atb recover of unused schemata.
I think he just think about how fast to access that garb. Equilibrum+ is so good but come in very late while soldier 1st class can carry you from early till you find SoP.
I wish they would make it that this series of FF could be played on ps5, I believe 11 13,13-2 and 13 lightning returns are the only ones ( main game, not spin off ) that cannot be played on the more recent console and that is WRONG
After going on a nostalgia blast of the 13 trilogy (loved all 3 on ps3 but ranked this game last) I now rate this and 13 joint first for gameplay (with LR debatably better). Second game has so many things that are a nuisance replaying in 2023. LR is like a better 10-2 (and that game is very good for gameplay and the best iteration of the standard atb system system of FF4-10)

Velvet Bouncer and a good heavy slash clapped everything for me. But then again any phys garb and a good heavy slash can do decent to great damage lol Also you did not need to do Snow like that at the end😭
I think the whole ffxiii trilogy was unfairly ridiculed by die hard fans. I enjoyed every game and I have seen there is a good amount of people that also enjoyed them all too its just a shame negativity always grabs peoples attention more
Its annoying how nobody has created a light slash deprotect breaker build yet even after all of these years...it puts soldier of peace in the ground with max strength in terms of pure dps on all bosses.
@@kirateashell7381 Take light slash with bravery feeder and deprotect chaser with transform Bravery on a staggered anything and you do over 500k with no limit break each hit a perfect hit will be max damage. By the time you do a single artemis arrows you will hit about 4 times

This video is riddled with errors. For example Dragoon doesn't start with Beatdown Nor jump. It comes with Lancet which is good- but the video failed to mention it's HP restore attack. One of the only moves that absorb HP.... Love you and love this video game but come on bro...
I don't think I understood the schema system enough so I don't really understand what made the top 3 so good. I just went into the final boss with sacred knight with ghostly hood for defense and 2 garbs with beat down and just spammed beat down and spells against the final boss. I beat him but I had a feeling I wasn't playing optimally 😭

An overclock Light Slash build with Bravery Feeder would be pretty busted.

Also flame and flood on purple lighting is not good for a magic build. It offer elemental moves that are based off the strength stat.
