It's better to do something to a standard that you are happy with then to cut corners and always know you could have done better. Making this call was a hard one. - Zábava
Not a hard choice it'll be a showstopper for the next one and that's a wise choice y'all do awesome work love the channel
You guys do awesome work, it amazes me the amount of money put in a truck that will never pull a load. Nobody is ever gonna see the inside of those frame rails !!!
can't even imagine how hard it was to make that decision. but that is one of the reasons you guys are respected in the truck world. your not sending something out there with your name on it that's not 💯 percent. Keep up the great work smi casual 🇺🇲
Quality not Quantity lads. Good decision on your behalf and the owner of the blue truck in my opinion. Love your workmanship and content. Peace✌
Your attention to details will be worth the wait. Thanks for sharing
dont be sad boys yalll are the best its hard to get it all together for the show, dont rush it.
A tuff decision...but a wise one this truck will be out of this world when it's done 😊
Hey guys
I'm sad about the truck but I think you guys made the right decision
And I still would love to see live stacks on that truck
Keep pushing
Looking forward to seeing your hard work
I think you guys made the right choice ❤
Tommy and Brian you're absolutely right do it right the first time and get everything right so ya don't have to redo. It's going to be a awesome truck there's always next year and the semi casual show.👍🇺🇸
Your shop is the best truck shop. I have overseen. I be watching your videos 😊
Always the right decision. But you had me nervous it looked like Brian was packing up to leave. I was saying out loud may I add. NO NO NO NO!!!! And then when I realized what was going on. As hard as it was for you to make that decision I breathed a huge si of relief. Hahaha. So other than all the sad happy sad moments it was a great video.semi casual only turns out Class Trucks. And for that I applaud y'all 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm glad you have an understanding customer. You've spent a lot of time, effort and money building your reputation,
and sending one truck out that isn't 110% can easily start to tarnish your reputation
You never compromise the quality of your product. Once you start you always do it. Good choice to wait...
Tim Gentry compromises his quality all the time.
@@bobjohnson7797 First of all, this wasn't about him. Neither was my comment. Secondly, He isn't the one making the decision in this video. Keep your negative comments to yourself.
@@user-gs5nu9mk6b You can kiss my ass. You don't tell me what to say.
It's one of the hardest decisions I know, but I agree. Do it right the first time, so you don't have to redo it and take it back apart. You can have it right for the next show, and it's going to be a show stopper for sure ya'll have a lot of respect from the trucking world. Keep up the good work, brother
You guys do amazing work wish I could afford to have you guys work on my old century
Guys, From a business point of view, never compromise! The owner agreed! You both want the same thing, a top shelf product. The little details that your company provides, sets your builds from the rest. The right decision, sweat the big stuff, get to the show with what is done already! Hurrying the build will always run the chance of failure. You will finish the build, there are always more shows! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looking forward to seeing the trucks at MATS.
Never compromise on your quality. Yes it sucks to miss a show but it's better then losing respect and your reputation. Far too many builders bring crap that doesn't run or drive just to make the show.
Can’t rush perfection.
I felt that background music.. God bless you💖🌟
Ualls Doing The Right Thing.Do It Right The 1st Time.Ualls Got A Cool Cealing Fans With Yellow Tips Brades.
That blue would look cool on peterbilt badge on door panels instead of red .
Good decision guys
I don't know why I watch these videos. Talk, talk talk. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Oh! I Do like to see cool trucks.😎 Even if they're only Peterbilts. 🤠
Good call!
Some times we put more on our plate than we can eat, it's ok to realize that we can only do what we can do. Don't beat yourself up over it.
& wow beautiful interior design/ pics 📸
Start on next year's trucks now and If you get down early the trucks will wait they won't mind
WOW YOU tricked me..... I was INSTANTLY UPSET.... the restarted the video 😅😅😅
If you need more time, then you just Do. 13:39 No sense to take it back apart to finish it again later.
Right decision.
damn a nice Bocephus turbo damn
RUN SOME FOOTAGE ON THE 362 SOME TIME
Heartbreaking music😢😢
I like the job
You should reach out to edison motors in British Columbia Canada about doing some hybrid truck kit installs i think it will be a good fit with your company .
PISS POOR CHOICES..... I would rather have had a 389 done... drop the gerbil looking 5 whatever behind.... (if you look at it from the front.... the cab looks like gerbil cheeks full of nuts..... although I've followed your brother's work.... SIMPLY AWESOME...... but now to change the hood on the PDI truck.... 😢that's why I LOVE W9's ..... but still being patient 😌
Dang it sounded like you had to put the shop dog down.
And make 1200 horsepower on top of that according to that fat boy Gentry!
You did the rite thing. Thats for a corporate client and will see many shows.
Rule of thumb? Do be the hillbilly halfasser from tenn thats hacks stuff on another channel. That one will be a joke and never correct. Great paint 😎 but not so great truck guy waited years for.
👍👍up for admitting too much.
I personally have done the same with the streetrod customers. Only to have the vehicle win awards for 2 years when it was finished correctly.
What is in between the fuel tank brackets and the frame where they mount?
The way the video started with Brian packing stuff into boxes accompanied by sad music I thought Tommy had fired Brian
Hi Tommy Hi Bryan it’s hard to keep a promise when it come to show trucks what I have seen from the trucks you build it take a lot I whether wait to see perfection I know you are same
Nice music
How do you except the paint to last if you don’t sand blast it ??
How do you guys do those super shinny floors ?. Are they done with fibreglass or is it a painted metal sheet thats been cut out??
Thx Ian.
I'm surprised the frame was not a double frame..
Who do y’all use for chrome work in Tx?
Troy Massey
Hey what’s up bros how y’all doing much love
4:10 is that garage door in the background crooked or just me?
I would scrap the 589’s and focus on that 389
Tommy look so sad he needs a vacation from that place
Hi Semi Causal
& look in yur eyes says it all..😢
When And Where is The Mid American Truck Show??? Tell me Please... Regards from The Netherlands... 👍🚛😉🤠
Louisville KY, 3/21-23
Thanks for your Information... That is gonna be soon... 😮😂
Hello Lisa, by the Way, are you living in the USA or the Netherlands like me??? ☹️🤣🤠
hello henk, Im in the states. I’m married to a Dutchman from the Netherlands, he’s from Putten.
You guys need a cardboard compactor
Hey is PDI going to send a truck to Matt's
👍🇺🇲
The show is the same time every year. Almost you might wan to figure it out sooner
No it's different weeks in March, plus they had several customers custom builds Year Round
damn sad music
Damn, I thought Brian got fired. Then I read comments and saw that he’s still here. Y’all should fire him anyway just because it makes good TV and it might drive traffic to your CZcams. ( Think American Chopper - Teutel Family / Orange County Choppers) Brian can kick boxes and around, Tommy tells him, “ Get out of my F building, your suspended or fired” 😅 😂😂
This is so typical of every shop of every different kind of event getting ready for a truck show getting ready for Sema all these various shops paint themselves into these corners staying up late nights days on end it's poor planning plain and simple better planning there's been so many TV shows 10 tons of work to do with the clock ticking I know I'm going to catch hell for this and I really don't care but bottom line you bit off more than you can chew and it's your own fault plain and simple
That’s what you get when you overextend yourselves.
Never make commitments especially in business the business world.
You shouldn't have taken on AKA TIMS job with on him! You guys failed because you are too kind hearted! Westens truck should have been last in line! Just took on too much! But that'd how you get more people to your shop! The work will get done. It's just a time issue!
Westens truck is at fcr not semi casual.
Bring in the big guns, Rethwisch*, Massey, that guy and his wife, and Davis Bros., we need this truck to make its big debut at MATS.
Taking too much on that. You can chew on
We get it you don’t like to cut corners and your customer doesn’t want you to cut corners either but to walk talk and act like someone left a snickers bar in your cornflakes for over 14 minutes while telling us how cool the truck will be and showing us things you have done or are going to do etc at least in my book does not make for a good video. We it me I would have made the video quite differently. Sure you start just a little somber but then go to proud and happy that you and your employees refuse to compromise your standards and your customer is happy with your decision after you explained why because he like you like to do everything right the first time
So instead of bringing in extra help, you just decided to fold and give up? Taking on to much work is not your customers fault. Where in from, a handshake is a contract and we honor it. I get that you have standards, but you said you would get it done, so get it done
I think that project got bigger after it was started like the wife's projects 😊
1st & 4most the customer told them to not take it to Mid- America!!!!!!! PAY Attention 2 the explanation & episode.
And You just making it seem so dramatic ..
Tommy you lost a lot of weight
