1980 കളിലൊക്കെ സിനിമാപരസ്യങ്ങളിൽ പലപ്പോഴും കാണാമായിരുന്ന ഒരു കാപ്ഷൻ ആണ് മനോഹര ചലച്ചിത്രകാവ്യം എന്നത്.പലപ്പോഴും ശരിയാവാറില്ല.പക്ഷെ തൃഷ്ണയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് അത് അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ശരിയാണ്.തിരക്കഥയിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ കവിത കോരിയൊഴിച്ച അധികം സിനിമകൾ മലയാളത്തിലില്ല.
ദൃശ്യകലയിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ സാഹിത്യം കലർത്തുന്നതിൻറെ സൗന്ദര്യാത്മക പ്രശ്നം വേറെ ചർച്ചാവിഷയം.

Actually..mammootty was not the first choice hero in this movie. I.V shooted this film with Babu Namboothiri as hero for some time. He didn’t like his acting & then reject Babu. Then mammootty came into scene with the recommendation of Ratheesh.

In 1982 I used to hear quite a bit the songs, "Mynaakamm Kadalil...." "Sruthiyil Ninnuyaroo Naada Salabangale", never knew that those are from this move. Beautiful songs. The story has good turns, dailogue is superb. A simple story with lot of complex interplay of unexpected events and emotions. Both Andhra ladies did well.
Then you are in your 50s.
Hats off of i.v. Sasi & team the movie took me back to 1980's, beautiful location & the photography was awesome.🙏
