Holy... The music score mixed with the upgrades. It's getting me all emotional. I just recently had the urge to play Ark again, but seeing this I might as well just wait for console release. Easily in my top 5 if I've gotten a tattoo of it. Alpha specimen implant. It's a bittersweet nostalgia I get watching this, thinking of all the friends and close people I've bonded with or had fond memories with this game. It stings knowing I won't see or play with them again.

That 1 second clip of the Rex busting through the gate is so touching, that's from the original trailers, and having the new music transition into that classic old ark music that we all know is such an homage to the original game. Its enough to make a grown man cry

Agreed. Ark is my most played game ever. I more than got my money's worth from the EA price I paid for it. I know Wildcard get a lot of hate about re-releasing the game as a stand alone instead of just updating the vanilla game, but I feel like that would have just been a massive disaster, and I'm more than willing to pay the small price they're asking for this ground up reboot. if I only get 1/20th of the game play time out of this that i did out of ASE, it will still be more than worth it.

It’s gorgeous! The details, the new features, the water! I love that it feels like the whole Island got a tlc. This version of the island actually looks way closer to the one we’ve seen in the animated series trailer. I can’t wait to see the other maps and the new creatures when they drop.
Question. Is the graphics shown here will be similar during gameplay? I saw random gameplay of Ark and I do find it's a bit clunky particularly the character movement.

I KNOW the game at times lags and throws everyone out but it be nice if we are flying or fighting if we get thrown out that if our characters could go inyo GOD mode so our characters wont die and when we enter back for the game to spawn us at a a safe point maybe like an obs.

The style of the building is something that has certainly caught my attention; Wildcard have managed to make it look like a completely new game whilst also maintaing the original feeling of waking up on the Island for the very first time. Can't wait...

The animations and gameplay is exactly the same so the only thing they did was update the graphics with UE5. Not exactly mindblowing.

I wasn't expecting to *want* to get this game, I was so pessimistic going into it... But it brought back so many memories to when I started playing in 2015. It just looks so beautiful, and I just know for sure I'm going to love it, it's not often that something almost makes me emotional, but hearing the music swell at the end with the logo transition, it gave me goosebumps and made me tear up a little, Ark has been my favourite game for 8 years and has been behind countless fond memories and given me so many great long-time friends...
I cannot wait to experience it again

Please, for the love of god. Wait for other people to play it first!!! I am highly skeptical that the performance will be good, we see time and time again (yesterday even with Cities Skylines2) that games are coming out so badly optimized that it's unplayable! Studio WildCard doesnt have that great of a track record too

looks awesome, im hoping animals have improved AI, i think it’s quite strange how in ARK SE animals just wander around aimlessly without migrating in herds/packs and all carnivores team up against you
Carnivores of all shapes and sizes will completely ignore each other and gang up in packs to kill you 😂

I created a topic on the forum, wrote in discussions in Steam, repeatedly contacted you in Discord, but still have not received any response, and this question worries many players in ARK. Do you plan to open official ORP (Offline Raid Protection) servers, as it was in the original game? Me and my whole company played only on such servers and we just can't find a place for ourselves in ARK: Ascended. Please give some information about this!

Ark Survival Evolved was in my opinion one of the best games ever. I still play it and I have much fun. I just saw this Trailer now... This Beautiful Next Gen Landscape just made me hyped for Ascended. I hope I can build there Memories like in Ark Evolved...
I discovered Ark as an adult and it was my nephew that told me about this game. Honestly, one of my favorite games ever! Once I upgrade my PC I'll definitely buy this and start a new round of experiences in that world. Thank you for keeping this gaming going.

They stated at the beginning that this would pretty much be a free upgrade for people who already own the game and then changed their mind while discounting support and shutting down official servers for the original game lmao
@@27Flopps I think they made a mistake saying it would be free initially. I must be different, but I would be willing to pay for this to reflect the effort put in to create it. For those that don't want to pay, there is the original which I think is still great.
Eventually there will be sales if one can wait a few years.

Nobody should have to pay for the same exact game again just because it has better graphics and a dev team put work into it. They've generated millions off of sales from the main game, it's DLC, and more than likely will from this game and it's DLC.
@@27Flopps I see your points and agree with some of it. I play single player so I don't need multiplayer support on servers. But for those folks, you are right, if they are taken down they are stuck. I do hope they keep something running for them.
On one hand I am spoiled with the No Man's Sky devs that just keep pushing out multiple DLCs for free every year. I'd say though, that they are an exception. Plus, the initial few years of DLCs was to fix a broken game.
I wonder what discussions they had on charging, vs the expectation of generating sales from new players? I really don't know. Again, I have a choice to not buy it if I don't like their model.
It would be nice to maybe have a discount for existing players, 50% off?

Es hermoso, le tengo tanto cariño a este juego, lo he jugado en solitario tantas horas... los peores años de mi vida los pase jugando ark, era mi rato de felicidad, cada que salia un dcl era feliz, mi favorito fue aberration, recuerdo que no veia videos para poder explorar los mapas sin saber nada de ellos, ni que criaturas eran nuevas, ni donde estaban las cuevas o que jefes habia, compre el juego con los dlc y sus expansiones y con muchas ganas y felicidad lo volveré a comprar ahora con su remodelación, me puse muy emotivo, pero amo este juego.
