It almost always rains on Derby day and some horses run better than others on a sloppy track. Regardless of the million different things that can be considered, I am FORTE all the way
If Forte is 2/1 or better that's your best but at 6/5 he's not? What a ridiculous "strategy". NEVER let the bettors decide which horse to play based on a few dollars wagered at the Derby because that is the day where at least 50% of the money wagered is by COMPLETELY clueless people. It's also why few morning line favorites win. The "bandwagon" effect.

@@charylene211 Of course not. In horse racing the odds represent the relative favoritism based on all of the wagers placed on the race by bettors. So you are wagering against everybody else as opposed to against "the house" or casino as in slots, table games etc. Best wagering anywhere for the knowledgeable bettor.
I think what Donna is saying is 6/5 odds don’t justify the chance of Forte winning so it’s higher risk, less reward. Why not take a chance on another realistic horse with bigger payout and less risk if their chance at winning is more relative to their odds. I would never bet on a Kentucky Derby horse at even odds or less because the Derby is so chaotic with 20 horses and the favorite has only won roughly 33% of the time in the race’s history
@@heyIMsofaKINGcool I agree with NOT betting Forte no matter the odds because he is simply "the" name that has been hyped for almost a YEAR and no other have stood out that much yet. I nearly always end up with a horse that has odds of between 4/1 and 12/1 and used to do well with "sportsbook" futues not this KDFW futuere becaue there rareky any value. I had horses like Street Sense at 15/1, Smarty Jones at 125/1. Strike the Gold at 40/1 and Real Quiet at 50/1 back in the day.

Gonna use kingsbarns as the rabbit , this will set up for either tapit thrice or angle of empire , Forte will be off the pace and also has a good shot, if they don't go after kingsbarn he could steel it.
It's never easy.. but this year is especially tough.i really can't say with any confidence who's gonna jump the best and get to the front.... sometimes it can end up much differently than it looks on paper..many of these poor horses will be very amped up when they look around and see twenty other horses.the noise.the cameras... I've got mine but get the feeling this stampede may tactically run very different than what we thought. Good luck to everyone.were all gonna need it......big time.

Only a final thought.....of all the horses working... confidence man hands down was the best.he hits the ground just beautiful lots of energy..he strikes me as a happy healthy horse.the concern of course is the time between his Las race.i will go across which I normally don't do.use with a couple of others.if he runs to what I've seen in the morning. He's a player and probably a lobster on the board.

Sorry, I disagree with that analogy that if FORTE is 2-1 or higher in the wagering, He's the Bet !!! BUT if FORTE is 6-5 or so, YOU GOT TO
" TRY " and Beat him ????
Racing, especially the Derby, you make wagers to TRY and Win, or Take what the Game gives you, regardless the Price !! I NEVER use the word VALUE in making a decision on who to bet !! Forte may have been ALL OUT in the FLA. Derby, to win, but when he got into that last gear to get up and win, he was pulling away, and was eased at the wire, when crossing the finish line !! DO any of you so called HANDICAPPERS know how much further FORTE could have gone once he got into that last gear to get up and win ??? Probably not !!! The way he broke (not good) but the way he finished, to me was really good !! This is not a BAFFERT trained horse that has to go to the lead to WIN, and look at the Running Time of the Fla. Derby, and he came from off the pace, getting into another gear inside the 16th pole, to get up and win !! FORTE will be the Favorite when the gates open, and should be the winner when it's all said and done !! WELL, the Smarts will say,
HE CAN'T get out the gate, he slow into stride, he will get shuffled back to far to get up down the lane ???
SPECULATION, your honor !! If your SCARED MONEY won't go on the WINNER to Win ( FORTE ), no matter what the Price is, then BET FORTE to
" SHOW " you'll get 3-2 which will be way more then you will get when you tear up your losing ticket, trying to Beat FORTE !! PS, if it's raining, or the track is Sloppy, Bet More on Forte to win, no guessing here ⚡☮️🏇
All these predict the Derby shows are worthless-they all say the same thing. Everyone knows who the top horse hard-that's not too hard to figure out. Everyone has an opinion in a horse race-you can make a case for any of the 20 horses. So much depends on the trip-the weather-the track condition-how the horses react to the noise-so all of these shows are just plain worthless. Nice ladies but the same stuff just rehashed from horse talk website to the next site-they're all clones of each other.
