Now this is a serious animal..took dirt and swept by them all for a easy win..these are the kind of horses that wins derby..not having things easy his own way..and explodes like that..nice animal
Some guy commented he looked like a rookie!!After he wins a $1millionrace.Said he'll get dq'ed at Churchill if he doesn't straighten up.I'll take them all day picking up fat checks
What a tremendous close! Was he closing that fast or were the the others standing still? The short time between races bothers some of them. The Derby is a whole different game.
Imagine when this horse figures out how to get into the gate without a panic attack....his two races this year were against much better than most of the other contenders have seen and he just circles them and draws off.
He's a major player...my only negative is he had one horse to beat he didn't show up.. Tyler has a feel for him... now we have to come back quickly.. that does concern me a little..if he's your horse..I don't blame you one bit...best of luck to the team and everyone else..
He swept by a large field impressively, but the fractions were swift and the final time wasn't great. Still, he'll probably be the Derby favorite after that run.
Sierra Leone will be my top pick most likely. If Fierceness brings his A game and can handle the distance, then Sierra is running for 2nd. I just don't trust Fierceness enough. Sierra seems more reliable.
At the end of his races, after giving up a lot of ground, he still hits a gear the others don't have. Unless FIERCENESS runs away and hides, this is the Derby winner IMHO. Hope he gets some kind of trip and can run down the stretch with a path.
@@RMoore713ify He's done that in every race. Sure, it would be better to run straight, but I am not sure what "not really a great sign" means. He runs faster than the others while running crooked. Imagine when he doesn't lug in?
@brotherderek it means he's getting tired. Any experienced horse player knows that. I'm sure you do too. It also is an especially bad harbinger as the distances increase, which will happen Saturday. Is this a great horse? Absolutely. But do you want to risk money for 3-1 for a horse that lugs in when this is a 20 horse race? Only you can make that decision for yourself. And I know enough not to blame anyone who does. All I'm saying is there is something not to like about this horse. This is not a shoe-in on paper.
@@RMoore713ify As an experienced horseplayer, I would never say any horse, this side of Flightline, is a shoe in. As the horse lugs in, in the last three starts, not sure if being tired is the issue. Also, I am not taking 3-1, because I aim for bigger prizes like the pick 4 or, in the race, exactas, trifectas and superfectas. Anyway, good luck. We all have our opinions. So, give me yours, so I can poke holes in it LOL
rob, maybe....but How do you know? You are talking like the race is over. How many times has the favor finished in the back of the pack? It is not a regular race, it is the Derby where a lot of unexpected things do happen often.
Dornach had no excuses in this race. He was sitting 4th off the pace for most of the race. In the stretch he changed lanes and wavered. He looked like a tired horse the last 1/8. Don't know why handicappers are still making him a KD contender.
they should make Sierra Leone be the first horse to load into the starting gate at the Derby. That way the rest of the derby horses don't have to be standing in the gate for 5 mins waiting for him to load
They double load from 1-10 and 11-20. But I'm sure they're wondering what the hell to do, hopefully they're reading CZcams comments since you got it figured out.
Don't like S.L.'s running style for the Kentucky Derby. For one, he will need other speed horses to help set up his closing style. He seems to prefer running from too far back. In the Bluegrass he had the other Brown runners in there; Top Conor helped carve a fast pace. And the runners in the Blue Grass proved to be not that strong a group.TG said he made the lead too easy, despite being way back, due in part to the weak group he faced. He was bothered in the gate at the break by the large crowd. He most likely needs more seasoning, having run only 4 times. The Blue Grass victory looks a lot like Zandon's run, in which he won the BG but hung in the final furlong in the KD.
He will get spanked if he runs that juvenile way in the derby. He won't be coming in on horse of quality down that stretch in the derby. He will get bounced. Should have stayed wide and finished properly.

The biggest thing that kills closers is TRAFFIC! The Derby will have alot of TRAFFIC with 20 horses in the field
Good luck running that race in a 20 horse field.
He is my derby pick
He is the real deal from what i have seen so far, only time will tell he Is going in the right direction.

@user-sh9dj4hf2d if he breaks clean he will have the lead and be tough to catch , with that being said I'm not playing him
Post Position #17 is a Unlucky Number! We don’t know which Fierceness is going to Show Up!🐴🐴
He will be finishing fast and late in the KD that's his way of running looks a tank of a horse 🐎
Is he physically bigger than the other horses in the derby?
