Some good upgrades I suppose it's a lot more attractive for a new buyer. You get a lot of things and the price is right.

I was in a conversation with some Yamaha guys, and they told me that Yamaha is not planing to bring the R9 yet, or even at all... Yamaha mechanics, developers and other staff usually have to study the upcoming models to better deal with them, and for 2022 and 2023 there is no R9 on their studies (I don't really know how to explain the "studies" but they have to basically introduce themselves to new bike models so they can sell them, repair them, know how they work, build them, etc etc etc).
But basically their explanation is, "the current motorcycle market is focused on Tracers 700/900 and the Tenere, being R's a very small market not worthy to invest at the moment".
They do have the R9 patent, but no intention to build it anytime soon.

De cat link pipe and flash and my '18 mt10 gets about 25mpg. That's making huge pulls, riding it hard! Considering I got it about 4 months ago with 1100 miles on it for $9,800, I'd consider that pretty good. That extra money I saved buys plenty of premium.

I am still breaking in, in the 600-1,000 mile 2nd half of the break in. According the computer, I'm getting 32 MPG (US gallons), while essentially staying below 7,100 RPM as directed in the owner's manual. I got about 35 for the first part of the break in staying below 5,900 RPM. So on track I would expect maybe mid-twenties, and probably high 20s to low 30s once broken in and "driven normally". That said, I generally don't ride highways Iike a commuter might, or putter around town... I ride for fun on back roads.
