Played countless hours, sure would love to play this again
Pure nostalgia, I play this game a lot when I was a child I always had fun with it
I'm tearing up watching this. Nostalgic
One of the best games i ever played. :)
Good ol times
Oh my God!! My sister and I playing this game so many hours back in the 90s. I am so nostalgic!!
I remember playing this game as a child in the early 2000’s. Thanks mom for introducing this game to me
First time I heard a mom introduced a game to a son (and not viceversa). Kudos to her!!
@@Squakenet yeah it is indeed not very common. My dad introduced me to the Master System itself, while my uncle introduced me to a pirate ps2 disc with absolutely all Mega Drive/Genesis, Master System, NES, SNES and other consoles' games (I remember playing Sonic 1, Lucky Dime Caper, Alex Kidd, Quackshot and MJ's Moonwalker for hours and hours).
But in this specific case, my mom was studying Computer Sciences at the college and she was into PC games, like Prince of Persia, Lemmings, SimCity 2000, The Incredible Machine 1 and The Lost Vikings 1 (this was back in the 90's when she was still studying Computer Sciences). She introduced me to a pirate ROM of the PC version when I was younger, which she had copied from a 1994 diskette she bought at the time she had played it (!!!). It was back in 2009 or 2010, I don't remember exactly (could even have been in 2008, I really don't remember). She taught me all the quicktips like writting down all the level passcodes, using Erick to find hidden stuff in the walls and even the best way to defeat Tomator, what got me into downloading a SNES emulator to play The Lost Vikings 2 at a considerable young age, when I was about only 9 or 10yo.
This game basically taught me how to use internet and got me into games in general, besides helping me a lot with learning english at a very young age and learning how to find stuff on the internet the hard way (didn't know how to speak english already and there weren't many tutorials on how to do certain things on CZcams at the time either). Damn, this brings me too much nostalgia. Thank God Blizzard finally re-released the original PC ROM as well as a PC ROM of the classic SNES The Lost Vikings 2, insted of re-releasing the Norse by Norsewest 3D version. I'm finna play both games again as soon as I get some free time.
Keep up your great job mate! Greetings from Brazil!
@@tufab3494 Loved your story, thanks for sharing! Sure, we'll keep up with our goal to show all these gems we played on Dos and Windows!
Games back then were so simple yet so enjoyable! I had a few games back then. It was this, diggers, jazz jackrabbit, heretic, skunny in the Wild West and normality. I’ll never forget those games lol
I loved this game so much!!
Nice to read people play it to. Iam born 1983. Doom, wolfenstein, lemmings, worms, vikings. good old days
OMG my childhood beloved game with supaplex, mario, prince of persia, aladin, cool spot, galacta, this should be am epic one , I want play it over and over damn ,,,
Simple and fun. Hours of learning what order to use their abilities. Wish I could get that game again
The game is still available in some store such as Amazon and probably Ebay. You can check via this link: gamespric.es/compare/the-lost-vikings/
I remember playing this game as a kid back in the 90s. It was the demo version though so it only had the first few levels in it. The music was a bit more different as well. I remember some of the deaths really creeping me out too, like the dinosaurs very quickly eating your skin clean off until there is nothing left of you but a dead skeletal remain falling to the ground Ghosts N Goblins style. I also remember the very graphic fall damage death where if you jumped off a cliff or jumped off somewhere way too high, once you hit the ground, you splatter and get decapitated and dismembered all at the same time as if you got hit by a semi truck at full speed rather than hit the ground. Other than that though, I found it an extremely fun game as a kid and it was very addicting.
It was a great puzzle game. They took a bit of Lemmings and brought to a different concept.
@@Squakenet Lemmings and this one among my favourites definitely.
This is one of the games my dad tested back in the day and I always
Love rewatching this and remembering how fun it was to play
I guess that you were exposed to many more games back then!? Lucky you!!

I was addicted!
If you liked it, have a look at the sequel, The Lost Vikings 2 - 1997 PC Game, introduction and gameplay
oh very good days at that time :)
I LOVED it!
I was born in 1992. Came here from Heroes of the Storm
Ah yes....before Blizzard lost it's soul.
Those were good times.
this game is my childhood and it was hard. Love it. But I cannot compressed the game and put it to a single floppy disk. The size after compressed is about 1.6mb which is bigger than the capacity of a 1.44 floppy disk. That made me crazy sometimes.
My grandpa let me play this game on his computer way back
Já zerei esse game
I bought a game as a child and the game did not start. I did not know what was on the floppy disk. Now I know.
В детстве купил игру и не запустилась игра. Не знал что на дискете. Теперь я знаю.
More realistic than the TV show.
