  • If you’re looking to dip your toe in the LEP waters, I would highly suggest this light because a standalone LEP is a one trick pony and mostly useless in real situations. Sure it can light up things a mile away or more, but who can see that far?? And it’s a small window of light. Tiny. And more than 60% of your field of view is still in total darkness. But with this light you also get a powerful LED light with triple emitters that are stupidly bright and you also get way more throw from them than you’d expect. So it kinda does it all. This light, like your ex wife can satisfy everyone.
    I bought mine from Going Gear and they didn’t know it was me, now that they saw the reviews, they’re offering my subscribers a nice discount, pretty darn cool of them to do. 15% off if you use the code: Skelton

    I received mine yesterday and I had a good time experimenting with it last night. I could see further than before and could annoy alot of my beighbours with the lep. Best of all its in one package and so compact that its easy to carry this one light in my front jeans pocket without any issues. The zoom ring has just about the right amount of resistance that I find that it would not undo on its own whilst in the pocket. Buttons are great and very tactile. No delays and switches back and forth from led/lep with no delays. Indeed, its a huge investment but for me its great as I do not eant to carry 2 lights. Rather have this 1 light that can do both. Ive also tried with molicel p45b button tops in it with no issues. Wuben 21700 work too. Ability to replace battery, special modes strobe makes this a worthy edc light imho. Cheers for the video and have a great weekend 👍

    Having had the Terminator M1 for 6mos as well as the Nitecore 35i LEP/LED combo light, I do prefer the more compact Terminator M1 and as a "do it all" package it does perform as claimed! 👍🔦⚡

      It's fantastic to hear from somebody who owns both. It's the gap in performance big or how do they stack up on turbo?

    A great light. For Mine I did some research and found that the 1966 Bucheimer leather ammo belt (or medical case), fit this light like a glove! The LEP has to be at the top since it’s wider and recommend a piece of gorilla tape or duck tape to cover the metal back to the snap on the inside so you don’t scratch the light. I have a black one, goes on the belt and a perfect snug fit. They show up on eBay every once in a while.

    On a totally different note, the Civivi RS71 is such a cool little fidget monster, think you could like it, maybe 😌

    Turbo lumens depends on which emitters the light has.

      @@WyattWillis88 another to seriously consider is the light I reviewed just before this. Not an LEP but an LED with insane flood and very impressive throw. The Nitecore EDC35. Traditional tactical light form factor, so easy to pocket as long as you are ok with a large sized traditional shaped light that uses a 21700. That’s my new go-to.

      Thank you Jim I will watch it now and it does seem to be the perfect form factor for edc 👍 love how most of the nicer nitecore lights all have the display such a small detail that males a big difference

    • @JimSkeltonKnives
      @JimSkeltonKnives  Před 2 měsíci

      I’ve looked at it online and considered it. It’s not a combo like the M1??

    • @sztaylor89
      @sztaylor89 Před 2 měsíci

      @@JimSkeltonKnives it is a combo. Triple emitter on one side for flood, single LED emitter with fixed lens on the other for spot. 18650 battery so it is smaller in every dimension by roughly 3/8 to 1/2 inch so it is much more pocket friendly. Outputs are a little lower but still more than respectable, only a single output option for the spot, m2 version has toggle switch that can select spot or flood when off, and both spot and flood can be on simultaneously

    • @JimSkeltonKnives
      @JimSkeltonKnives  Před 25 dny

      Depends on how you hold it. Thats why I spent the time doing a demo on how I hold it, to make the switches more accessible. But it’s definitely not an ergonomic dream, no.

    • @Studat
      @Studat Před 25 dny +1

      @@JimSkeltonKnives I hear you, when I used both the acebeam and the olight marauder mini I found the ergos of the marauder was perfect so I went that way. Pros and cons to both but the flood on the acebeam is also on the low side. With the 7000 lumens on the marauder you hardly need to switch to the spot.
      Both great lights but I need those ergonomics 😊.
      Killer review btw.

    • @JimSkeltonKnives
      @JimSkeltonKnives  Před 25 dny +1

      @@Studat ergos are definitely important, and you have to go with what works best, regardless of anything else. And it’s hard to beat a good Olight in most cases too.
