Looking back at all these clips, it just makes me really happy he was at least able to put out a special with all the bits he had been using for while. His voice is sorely missed, especially during these crazy times.

The beauty of Patrice as well as other greats like Burr & Pryor. They didn't write material. They'd just go up there with topics they wanna talk about so the conversation would always seem fluid and never rigid. Thats why you can watch a bit from Burr or Patrice that you've heard before but its still great to listen to, they'll like tag a few extra lines on there and always be trying to improve the bit. Never scripted & the segways are always flawless. Even crowd interaction gets turned into bits.
This was very educational when I was 19 watching this🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, comedians use some old materials and switch it up when they go to different venues.
If they got new stuff they would mix it in with they material they have and build off that.

My high school teacher said to us, something was happening a tsunami or something like that he’s like it’s bad right and everybody was like yes tragedy and so on. And he’s like who gives a f***. When we hear the "from the other room" story starting up we KNOW its gonna take us away from w/e shit we were enjoying beforehand. It better be a damn good story hahaha and if the guy often has that ugh reaction it means your stories are not good and take up too much time. We guys have a short attention span and we wanna know fact. Who, what, when, where, how? Hahaha
You're probably one of the best reaction channels because you seem to actually enjoy comedy. You should try to do some Norm Macdonald videos, hes one the best comedians to be ever live in my opinion.

You walk in, story time doesn't happen. We're like, fuck yeah. No 45 minute story about how Diane returned her eggs at brunch. But then we sit there for a moment. And we're like. She didn't do Story time. I'm gonna have to ask aren't I? I don't wanna hear the story but I'm gonna have to ask if she's okay aren't I? I don't wanna, but i'm gonna have to, aren't I? Because if she isn't doing story time something else is probably wrong and if I don't ask by 6 tonight she's gonna make up a dozen things i did wrong today and shits gonna be tense until i apologize for things I didn't do because I didn't ask what was wrong because there wasn't story time.
So we get up and ask... "hey babe, you okay? Why you so quiet? What's wrong?"
