I was stationed at Camp Lejeune.N.C. At saw the immaculate reception. As it happened I remember a couple of my friends were mad they were from Oakland.

Lifelong Giants fan from Jersey and my late father was also one til the early 70s and he started following the Steelers right before they drafted Bradshaw.
Firt it was Bradshaw, then Franco, then Mean Joe Greene, etc. The 'Immaculate Reception' was something my father always loved. They eventually won 4 Super Bowls in the 70s and then 2 more later on.
My father loved the Black and Gold with a passion. Sadly, he passed away at the age of 80 a few months ago but my younger brother is a diehard Steeler fan just like Dad was. My father lived and died Steelers and hopefully his favorite running back has joined him up in Heaven to talk about old times!
RIP to my Dad, love you tons and always and likewise to Franco too! Will keep you both in my heart always! 😃😢😪

It was first time I beat my brothers in anything - they said oh your going to pick those losers meaning the Steelers- so as Franco scored and won so did I win - I danced and jumped with hands in the at the age 8 and I’ve never looked back - thank you Franco for choosing a team forever!!!
