I just read that the owner wants to expand the seating cap. Not sure how high or how much, but it would be cool to see if they could make the outside look nicer as well.
DC UNITED, BEST TEAM IN MLS
DC United lucked into their last trophy in 2013, the same year they set an MLS record for worst season in league history. Since then they have made the playoffs 5 times, won one (1) playoff game, moved into a bare bones stadium that looks embarrassing when compared to any stadium opened since, and is on their third (soon to be fourth) head coach since firing long-time coach Ben Olsen. Wearing black and red is the only thing the team currently has in common with those dynasty teams.
Oh my god I wasn't aware of that - but where are all the fans now gone, where is all the crowd in the home games? Pretty sad actually.

DC is a great city and United was once a great club, but this video while a terrific piece of creative and production work, just isn’t true. The current stewards of this club have bungled EVERY decision they’ve laid eyes on, alienating & disenfranchising thousands of fans and day 1 supporters. As a long standing season ticket holder, I’d give anything for this to actually be the club I support.😢
Dynasty? D.C. United hasn't been *relevant* since 2018. They haven't been *good* since 2014, and they haven't won an MLS Cup since 2004.

First, MLS isn't real football. Copying NFL playoffs is embarrassing. Without relegation , no real football fan takes this league seriously.
It doesn't really matter to me, as long as they fix their defense and improve the quality overall.
If by real football you're referring to American football, then you're delusional. Players have already spoken why relegation is not happening anytime soon. The financial difference between MLS and USL is huge. MLS requires every team to have a stadium of their very own and some teams don't have the money to pay for everything that the MLS requires. Many USl will die If this happens.
Yup, it's so much more entertaining for a league to have the same two or three contenders for the trophy year after year. A relegation battle might be a bit of fun, but bankrupting the second tier teams that get to play a single season in MLS before the previously relegated teams come back is where the real yuks are... Or just perhaps taking history and geography into account can justify a different, equally real, model in a country that still considers soccer a 5th tier sport...
