I learned there are Brazilians who still practice Yoruba spirituality while most Yorubas raised in Nigeria now tend to practice Islam or Christianity. That's pretty cool. It's crazy to say but I can see it in your features after reading your comment, the 'Nigerian DNA' as you called it.

In my opinion that was nothing more than showing the mediocrity of others. I usually root for the better team as a neutral and in this match Brazil definitely deserved the win more, although that's the beauty of football

For those who might be confused with the naming of some of the Brazilian players. The Ronaldinho that you're thinking of did not play in this game. In fact, the player with the "Ronaldinho" jersey is actually. . .Ronaldo. So back in the day, when Ronaldo was like 18-20 years old, there was already a defender on the the team who went by "Ronaldo." So what they did was, in the 1994 World Cup, the older Ronaldo went by "Ronaldão" ("big Ronaldo") with the young Ronaldo going by "Ronaldo." HOWEVER in the 96 Olympics, Ronaldão went by "Ronaldo" and the younger Ronaldo went by the name "Ronaldinho" (little Ronaldo).
Interestingly, 3 years later, Ronaldo, by then a global superstar, had pretty much earned the right to the "Ronaldo" name on the field during the 1999 Copa America. HOWEVER, there was a guy on that team who's full name was Ronaldo de Assis Moreira. By 1999 he started going by the name "Ronaldinho Gaucho." However because Ronaldo was no longer using the name "Ronaldinho," this allowed Ronaldinho Gaucho to take the Ronaldinho name. This is a name he kept and became world famous under that moniker. That's the Ronaldinho we all know and love.
That was a lot but for the purposes of this video:
    "Ronaldo" is actually Ronaldão
    "Ronaldinho" is actually Ronaldo
"Ronaldinho Gaucho" (not on this team) is actually Ronaldinho.

In the 1994 world cup there was a guy named Ronaldão (isnt the ronaldo who is playing. He was black and is 54years old nowadays) The the number 4, is Ronaldo Guiaro (45y) and played in Benfica (Portugal). Ronaldo Nazario (43y) was then Ronaldinho. Ronaldo Assis (40y his brother also played in Portugal for Sporting) then became Ronaldinho. In irc old times my first nickname was Ronaldinha, when Ronaldo played for Barça.

Best memorable Bebeto highlight is him dedicating his goal to his child.
I've never seen anything Bebeto did on the field or off to make anyone make fun of the guy.
BTW, Brazil was rooting for Nigeria after losing, specially since you guys were playing against their rival Argentina, and back then people would not think of rooting for Argentina (like today's era in which they did towards Messi).

Now we have a bunch of unserious players who go to night clubs before a football match as a prematch ritual. What a shame. Croatia wouldn't dare knock us out of a world cup competition then.

When the best of Africa took on the best of the World and Nigeria came out on top and did it with style and class! That look on Bebeto's face at the end will forever be etched in my mind. Please pray for my brother Ifeanyi in Nigeria. He is missing since days. He did report in social media about the terrible situation during the Covid19 lock down in his city Lagos. The EU gave Nigeria 51.3 mio € for help but this money wasnt shared with the poor people. So many people are starving without any help of the government. With the money we did donate he was able to share food to starving people around him. He also started to report about the situation in social media and now he is missing and we lost contact to Ifeanyi. Please pray for my good brother Ifeanyi. He has done so many good deeds in name of God and did help so many poor people in Nigeria.
