  • Manuel Antonio Tour. Best things to do for free & cheap in Costa Rica. Low Budget Travel Guide & Advice. Free beaches, surfing, diving & snorkelling spots, best restaurants, Playa Espadilla. Top money saving tips while visiting Costa Rica. Things to do in Puntarenas beside the Manuel Antonio National Park.
Today we take the bus from Quepos to Manuel Antonio. The journey to get there is short and cheap, under 500 Colones per person. We get out near El Avion restaurant, the most famous restaurant in the area. The restaurant is in a shape of an airplane and is very well known for its beautiful views and wonderful sunset setting. We’ve been wanting to go to El Avion for quite sometime as we’ve heard a lot about it but once we get there we realise the restaurant is extremely overpriced, the customer service there was also not the kindest, the staff was rude and not accommodating. We decided to keep walking and we found an amazing restaurant called Raphael’s Terrazas. Raphael’s Terrazas is cheaper than El Avion, with incredible customer service and the most stunning view over the Pacific Coast.
However, later we take you around the down town of Manuel Antonio, near the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Here I show you the cheapest & tastiest food / restaurant in Costa Rica. Watch to find out the name of it. We also take a walk down Playa Espadilla, the beautiful beach by the national park which is free to enter - perfect surf and snorkel spot. We also go on a bush walk down the river where we can see some exotic animals. Today we can really feel the rainy season in Costa Rica. Watch to find out what the rainy season in Costa Rica looks like and what we end up doing next. We also tell you about our next plans - starting Workaway in exchange for free accommodation and food.

Thanks Ola, that was another great vacation video!!! 👏👏👏 The food looked good at those places you were at. Matt looked nice. It looks like he was sporting a tan by then. Very nice scenery there and it looked pretty peaceful, too. Great job! Take care, Michael 😘

I see that the video was uploaded in August. Did you visit in August? How was the weather? I am visiting from 8/12-17

The weather in Costa Rica is always warm. But August is the rainy season, particularly on the Pacific coast, if you are worried about that I would suggest visiting the Caribbean coast as there should be a lot less rain there around that time. 😊

@@OlaLily thank you for your reply! I already booked a hotel in MA since it seems like the best option for water activities. Hoping it will be fine.
