The build up before the fight is just epic
I love the bit through the whole game where he bumps up the intensity in the terms he uses to describe his wonder power, only to simply call it “epic” in the end.

You know, I think the reason why the boss is so easy is because Bowser just wants to jam, Bowser Jr is the real villain, constantly trying to get rid of Mario as he goes along
I loved how the end of this game turned to a music stage. Plus, i love how a little of everything came back throughout the stage before Bowser. Dope game!

3:26 to the part where the big Boo disappears is the truest bop in this level. I only call it the big Boo because it doesn’t seem like THE King Boo.
Entering the green door of Bowser as a castle really felt unsettling. I couldn’t imagine what Bowser was preparing when I went inside the first time…
You know, I think I've come to understand Bowser's big plan in this game. His Epic Wonder involves a festival that would brainwash everyone and make them dance to submition.
And I think he might had a shot at that, because that rave actually slaps.
So a mixture of Octavio's (Splatoon) and Purge's (Space channel 5 part 2) plans. Lol

Coming from Geometry Dash and Beat Saber, this is my favorite final boss in any nintendo game. I do wish they had a harder difficulty so bowser could jam harder.

The funniest thing about this fight is that Bowser was the strongest he’s ever been: a being able to warp reality at his very fingertips, and yet he wasted it on a rock concert. GG Bowser🤣

With Bowser's affinity for heavy metal, I'm surprised they haven't done a boss fight where it's not only music-based like this one, but you get to see him on instruments flinging attacks from those as he's got a rocker's outfit on.

I found out if you play Yoshi you don’t die lol. You can keep getting hit by anything and it doesn’t take away any of your power. Yosi is indestructible.
That's the point. The Yoshis and Nabbit are said in-game to be the easy mode . Problem is, because they're not allowed to use powerups, they're unable to access certain secrets in the game
Works just like in the old Yoshi’s Island games. After all, that’s how it was, aside from the fact that Baby Mario isn’t an issue in this game

How terrifying? I don't like Bowser in his Castle Bowser form because the transformation involved appearance change to his Koopa Clown Car, but this form of Bowser doesn't look terrifying to me.

Honestly the final stage seemed harder than the fight itself. Still a neat way to approach a boss battle.
I kind of wish we had fought him in his full castle size, but imagine how big he'd be compared to your sprite. Maybe if it was similar to something like Yoshi's Island, but incorporate beats.
Anyone plan on trying this game again, but offline? Maybe the challenge would be greater. Also, the sprint badge, that can add some difficulty into the mix.
Ah well, fighting through the casual, you're tecnhically fighting Bowser. It's sort of like a Gradius final boss. The level itself is the boss, the final encounter is just its core.
That’s my thoughts too. This whole game looked more like a Yoshi’s Island game with Mario.
@@myleswelnetz6700 it did. The artstyle, the crazy shit you see like koopas rollerskating, the weird environments, it gives of massive Yoshi's Island vibes. Hell you even get to play as several different Yoshis this time.
All we need is baby Mario and it would be perfect.

As someone that beated the boss without taking damage i can tell that is the easiest god damn final boss i ever fighted

I think the hardest part was the Fire Notes, I feel like this could have been worthy of the Five Star Rating if you also had to hit his hands before hitting the purple button each time and also have the hands drop faster at Mario once they close in on him, I'd say the rating for the level is 4 stars imo.
Kinda wish it was somewhat more difficult but overall one of the best final bosses I’ve seen

You can destroy the hands before they release the spiked balls - you don't need to wait for them to drop them. If you do, the spiked ball disappears.
I didn't realize you could attack the hands until I was almost done with the fight, lol.
The Biggest Catle Fer In Mario Game
Love the fight against Wonder Bowser, my only 2 gripes with the fight looking back is the fact that they gives you powerups during the fight, and that you can hit the hands at any time, mabye put spikes at the other side of the hands when they are either covering bowser's weak spot or throwing spikeballs, you would still get rid of the hand you jumped to, but you would take damage if you touch the hand's spikes, then it would feel like a 5-Star level (to me).
You know they should have added a feature to the battle where if you get hit by the fire notes then you would get not just take damage but your screen would get a weird because the fire notes would start to brainwash Mario
I'm not one to brag or anything, but this final boss is so easy, I defeated him on first try, almost without damage.
He was pretty easy, once I understood the bounce mechanic of the battle I managed to first try him too
I managed to even do it without taking any damage as well

i noticed a lot of really good nintendo games have really easy final levels/final bosses. Like the rest of the game is a 11/10, but the finale is kinda easy. Eh, i dont mind. I think the flashy effects and liveliness makes up for it
I just don't like how much he sits there and lets you hit him. The bosses in general are just ok in this otherwise stellar game, but this one is solid mostly due to the cool gimmick.
As we can see the team at Nintendo really took inspiration from Jack Black being cast as Bowser and killing it.

Imo Super Mario Bros Wii's Bowser's final boss battle is still the best.
It's honestly hard to say which final boss is better for me.
Wii's final boss was a fantastic take on the "Bowser Bridge" trope where Bowser grows to a humongous size, having to let Bowser break down the walls with his big fireballs, then pressing the big button at the end to send him crashing down.
Wonder has a more creative take on Bowser with Wonder Bowser, a castle head with radio-like hands that summon notes that look like fire piranha plants, every 2 hits adds more antie with changing the arena and adding another had to Wonder Bowser's arsenal, Phase 3 even adds Disco Spikeballs into the mix, then by the end when you hit the purple button 6 times, his weak point is exposed to deliver the final blow: a big shiny button, once pressed, Wonder Bowser goes down. You have to time your jumps to hit his weak spots.
