      I agree 100%. A lot of time people keep their abuse to themselves because of the shame that comes with it. "How could I let this happen?" "How did I miss the signs?" "How do I get out of this with minimal impact on my life?" "What about all this wasted time?" "What would everyone think?" "What if they actually change this time?" There are just so many reasons. For the two of you who are getting mad because a door isn't opened and you would immediately get mad that baffles me. If you're response is extreme anger and abusive responses then that's super toxic and you should change it. Those texts were major red flags for me when I heard them. (Especially since I've both witnessed an abusive relationship and been in one). Especially the last text, "You have no idea ... ". That right there is the major telling sign of that relationship being abusive. For me, if my spouse had locked the door and I knew it had only been 30 minutes I would get slightly annoyed because, hey I'm coming back, but if I texted and called with no response my next immediate response would be extreme worry. For example, my spouse has asthma and a history of having a collapsed lung. So I would be trying to claw my way into the door or window to make sure I could see if he was okay. Saying that, she was taking meds to help her mental health issues. He should have been like, "Oh no. I hope she's okay. I need to get in there ASAP and make sure she's okay."

The stab wounds woulda been either on her neck or wrist or chest/heart.. she would be pointlessly slashing herself in the back of the neck! And these idiot police should be able to determine this by the direction of the stab wounds! I think the fiancé did it. This gave me chills. We are in the same situation here in NY. Our Daughter died in 2004 and she had been married for only 3 months at the time of her death. Her husband was questioned by several detectives. He has been recorded stating he gave her her medicine, and when the toxicology came back, that med was not in her system, but 21 different medications were listed that had not been prescribed to her ever. After the funeral, he disappeared. We learned that he remarried a little over 2 months since her passing. We took all evidence that we had to the District Attorney, and like you we were told there was nothing they can do without concrete evidence. I express my sincere condolences to the family in this frustrating fight for Justice for our loved ones. I pray that one day we will get that justice for your daughter and mine.

    She had old brusises from abuse in different stages of healing, Sam sent her agressive messages to open the door, Sam's family helped him retreive her laptop and other belongings before the police could get it. VERY suspicious. He also wasnt intergated. He wore boots when he was "at the gym." She also literally wanted to get away from her apartment. She asked her parents if she could come back home. It sounds like she was scared of her fiancé. It seems like she was being really careful about what she was telling people. I think Sam is suspicious. He was also quiet and did not do interviews. Not saying it was him, but it seems like it could have been him.

    • @BhappyD
      @BhappyD Před 3 lety +4

      Deja Jazmyn Definitely! VERY few people knew what was really going on in our home with my abusive narcissist “father” until after things resorted to a 911 call, him leaving the house being arrested, and us filing an order of protection. Even the people who were aware of some of the abuse prior to everything crashing down, had no idea the full extent of everything. It’s hard to talk about and admit, because abusers know how to create enough shame in their victims in order to keep them quiet. It’s an abuser’s safety net, and they are incredibly skilled at it. I’d say it’s EXTREMELY rare for those dealing with domestic abuse to be fully honest and forthcoming about it to their loved ones, both because of shame and fear, and because they don’t want to worry anyone. Especially loving parents like Ellen had. The way she was behaving absolutely checks of countless red flags of abuse, and then coupled with the bruises, it makes it very hard to believe that this was “just” a suicide caused by depression. On top of it all, multiple repeated stab wounds do not align at all with suicide, but they DO align with a crime of passion homicide by someone who was close to the victim. Which again, fits perfectly with the killer being an abuser, as they often carry out murder via a crime of passion. An abusive narcissistic rage is frightening and unpredictable, and there is no telling just how far they will take things when their eyes go black. There is no way to control it or stop it once it reaches the point of no return, unless you are able to call 911 and have police get there in time, which is something I’m fortunate for in my mother and I’s situation the night they saved us. Ellen’s story is heartbreaking, and I pray that her and her family get the justice they deserve. God bless them.
