      Agreed. I don't even know if Adam was the murderer. He could have been. Certainly a more reasonable suspect than Jordan. It does sound like there should have been more investigation into Adam, but the real miscarriage of justice is what happened to Jordan, in my opinion.

      A lot of the comments are saying he couldn't have done it because he's 11...James Bulger's killers were 10, Mary Bell was 10. Sometimes children do kill.

      I mean, If there was actual physical evidence then I would side with them, but the fact there was no evidence and it was all based on the police taking the easy way out... Children are capable of murder - look at the case of James Bulger, 2 kids tortured and killed him. But there was actual evidence to convict them. In this case there was no actual evidence. I've watched this video a few times now and each time I'm like why wasn't his hands checked for gun powder residue? Yet the dad was and they ruled him out so I feel if they had actually checked the kid when they arrested him it could have actually been sorted that night.

    And why did Kenzie ask him to stay home THAT day? She still had two weeks to go. Why did she not want to be alone that day? Because her ex was gunning for her and probably made a very recent and specific threat. I'm guessing checking phone records wasn't necessary after all their hot shot detective work sniffing guns, looking at snow and testing laundry piles for GSR.

    • @fidelianerina
      @fidelianerina Před rokem +29

      I partly agree. I had thought that too at first. Like it seems weird that day specifically she wanted him to stay home. Almost like she wanted protection because she feared something would happen. With how heavily pregnant she was, she probably wouldn't be able to run very fast and protect herself and her 4 year old daughter. However, the only part that makes no sense to that theory is, if she had a feeling her ex would be there, why not have told Chris why she wanted him to stay home?

    • @mar-k7104

If they had said Jordan and Kenzie didn't get along or there were some other familial issues between them THEN I could see Jordan as a suspect. That was never the case, it seemed as though they really loved one another. Also, the other kids would have said there were issues because kids will say everything that happened. While I don't know a lot about the details of the case, it seems likely Jordan did it. It is so rare and unusual that a child that age could or would do something like that, but the access to weapons literally might have been the perfect storm.
      The father is at the very least negligent for having all of those firearms unlocked/unprotected/ within reach of a child.

      @@mariellencressman9624it’s super wild that you came to that conclusion. It’s just as likely one of the daughters did it that Jordan did it. Guns in the house, janessa and Jordan left at the same time. With that logic maybe she was in on it. It’s sounds pretty ridiculous doesn’t it? There’s literally no evidence linking him to the murder which is proven in this video, and anything they might have had could’ve easily been pinned to any one of them in that house. It’s actually more likely that the ex boyfriend did it. At least he had a motive. Poor kid still getting dragged for something he very obviously didn’t do

    Psychology has shown that police should only interview children one time and record it, using that recording as the kid's testimony at trial, and if it is necessary to reinterview the child, don't ask the same questions. When kids are asked the same questions over and over, they're going to change their answer because they think they answered incorrectly or didn't give the answer the person was looking for. This is something that's used in school all the time: a teacher asks the class a question, the class gets it wrong, the teacher gives them some sort of help to find the right answer, then reasks the question to get the correct answer. Police can't treat children the same way they do adults, it doesn't work.

      @Suricious Před 3 lety +151

      Yes, I had to get interviewed when I was younger and I was about 9-11 but I got interviewed by police and by investigators or whoever they were I can't remember but they both asked me questions I had already answered, being the only witness it scared me that I thought I answered wrong and I changed my story a bit, but as a child it should be made sure that even if you're an older kid you should be asked questions by someone who is trained to ask kids these types of questions, not a police officer who deals with adults

She was the only Mom that he knew, so why would he kill her? he was excited for the baby coming and they all got along. But, for her parents and the police to automatically point fingers at him and say "you did this" is like telling the child he's unwanted in a way. It's BULLSHIT and I am glad his Father stood by his side in all of this. Later yet, I had a conversation about this and the fact I had memories of my father as early as 1 or 2 with my marriage counselor who was a clinical psychologist. She explained most children don’t have cognitive memories before the age of 5 unless there is a traumatic occurrence (good or bad). 11 year old who just lost his 'mother' and brother: there was a black car outside our house, I think
    11 year old who was dragged out his bed in the middle of the night and convicted for murder: I'm pretty sure there was a man, in a hat, ducking down in the black car

      Okay, but like also, sometimes investigators can convince easily influenced people to say certain things too. A child cannot be truly interrogated because they can’t logically think through most things. So I definitely think they didn’t do the child any justice in this whatsoever.

    I don't know why, but I used to avoid KR's channel, and I think it's because I thought it was very censored and watered down content because of the way I'd seen clips on CZcams. But over the last few months I've definitely seen that was a huge misconception and I LOVE your channel, and all of your podcasts and your husband's podcast, too!
