For me ICP is the most interesting project right now
Let me ask, did you find it as interesting when nobody was talking about it? You or your fans ain’t gonna make it very far if you keep buying a month after a 100%^. These people are snakes.. I bought ICP at $3 and nobody was talking about it. Soon as it gets to $14 everyone is talking about it. Don’t fall for these tricks people…. Im not salty and just hating, I own ICP… just telling you not to buy ANY coin after it’s just rallied.

very good appraisal, as an ICP convert (I hated it because it looked like a scam from the chart, then I found out why and did my homework on the tech/team), it was nice to see someone actually explain the ecosystem and tech in an easy to understand way, ICP is a sleeping giant, the elephant in the room to the rest of the industry, a handful of coins do one or two things that ICP does, but no-one does everything that ICP does, huge potential and the biggest, brightest team in the space. Can't wait to see it melt faces, it will be glorious.
The reviews I saw weren't helpful and too technical. It's the experience that makes the biggest difference.

Absolutely, Google pushes a lot of crypto scam ads and having a curated and verified source for crypto on ICP could be big.
@@FullValueDan plus icp will save you a ton of money if u have a business, while Amazon will charge you hundreds of thousands dollars to use their services a year
About a year ago, I caught a couple of your videos, and I found you compelling. Glad to see u on the ICP train, and great to see someone like you speaking on ICP. After almost giving up on finding the real value of crypto, I found hope when I discovered ICP. Still speculative, but the only crypto project that has real use case.

What usually happens is some of their developers will eventually leave to start their own project based on ICP which will generate competition.

You missed the most important part icp have reverse gas model even tho users aren't paying to use apps the developers convert icp into cycles which is used to run the computation on icp

To me ICP is a no-brainer. Even Vitalik Buterin "endorses" the project as Etherium most viable competition, when asked during an interview, because it solves the biggest problems that ETH among others are lacking.

@@FullValueDan thanks for responding. :-) I’ll be more upfront with my comments about NFTs. NFTs on ICP are on chain, whereas NFTs images on other blockchains are just hyperlinked to an image in traditional cloud.
NFT, gaming, DeFi, social media, physical gold back token, most secure and almost fee less second layer of BTC and ETH, everything 100% on chain. If that’s not bullish Idk what could be then 🤯

Do you see all layer 1s like hedera for instance (my fav) becoming layer 2s under icp? Trying to get my feet wet with icp and wrap my mind around it all. You did a good job explaining it
For a start, i think hosting will occur both on Legacy IT and crypto clouds( such as ICP) simultaneously. Different business models require different solutions. However the blockchain ethos dictates that the better decentralization the more automony there is and icp is just that a network that decentralises the hardware itself through the NNS DAO that manages subnet infrastracture. Many chains can benefit from this operation because ICP is not exactly a blockchain, meaning its not built for DeFi but for hosting the networks themselves.Personally, i think hedera will not choose ICP because its a chain that serves corporations but i believe staking services such as Lido DAO can benefit immensely from what ICP offers.
So to access the ICP network you are still going through your ISP correct? That is what connects the network to each other? I'm just kinda confused. If the regular web or web 2 was down, would the ICP block chain still function?
Yes, you still need an ISP. No different than accessing any other blockchain or website.
"Web2" is actually not your isp... isp is the provider to connect to the internet itself. Meaning if your isp is down you wont be able to access web 2 apps as well.
what people mean by web1,2and 3 is the way people interact with the internet...
Web1: read (articles, blogs, etc.
Web2: write(ex. post in social media)
Web3:own.

Yea, but it is sustainable, servers getting payd by fixed usd amount of ICP, Definity has staked tokens for 8 years and get more from stakeing, overall inflation is still about 3%, as price goes up, even less inflation. Keep in mind, many projects stakeing for 8 years and live off stakeing rewards+profits that apps makeing. Right now i see bright future.
Ftx was a massive part of the rug pull and now its rising from the ashes to £400 well probably not any time soon but a sound investment and a brilliant idea yes! Also etherium also built its 2.0 update using Internet computers infrastructure.

The real answer is: Always use a cold storage wallet.
But the convenient thing to do is to not do that. It's a lesson people really learn the hard way. Securing the cold storage too is also pretty risky.
Yes as long as u keep ya passphraze safe and no one gets access to your pin say on your laptop cus the nns login is on the icp blockchain so tamper proof and hack proof. Id say it is even safer than say a ledger as ledger is not open source so could be hacked. You can even store your btc/eth on the nns ckBTC and ckETH and ckSOL coming soon. No bridges so no scams no hacks.

ICP could probably become a L2 on Ethereum (or even on Bitcoin maybe through Stax) where they could instantly gain more liquidity and security
btc and eth are already icp altcoins. That's just a taste of the kind of power icp wields.
You should read about chain key technology, icp already has ckBTC, ckETH and ckERC20 is coming this yr.
It doesn't matter what tokens are on that chain... The TVL is absolutely tiny compared to BTC/ETH and the chain is hardly decentralized. There's no reason for that L1 to exist...all the liquidity and value is over on BTC/Ethereum (check Defi Llama...ICP is too small to even register)

The internet computer does not have main chain/subchains architecture. The subnets are their own blockchains and process the whole lot of computation internally in their subnet.The NNS is a subnet that governs the other subchains not by validating transactions but by assigning them their private keys and managing subnet nodes by adding and replacing machines.Think of it as central goverment authority but in the shape of a DAO where each change if it is to happen, has to pass first as a code proposal and then its executed.
the transaction fee itself is burned, it's not the gas!
the cycles are the gas. You can get cycles by burning ICP, that's where the network profit is.
Thanks, I get confused by the unconventional terms they use. Which I think is why ICP seems more complicated than it is to people outside the ICP ecosystem.

Yes, I didn't look into it but a simple Google search confirmed it. For most people, I don't think a project being open source or not will make a difference.
