- I can't shake this damn GT3 so let him around. LOL... All good fun and gotta embrace the memories... Van is always fast in his GT3. This vid shows how sensitive the truck is on throttle control. Tires are shot so that doesn't help. Testing is done so we can turn it up on fresh rubber.
Truck has way more in it. Im on old tires. Just doing checks after a 3 year restoration. I am not even remotely pushing it. I also have another 200HP available from this vid(Im at 625 here, truck makes 840 with my other carb)) and 1500 more rpms. Its just dialed back to sort the truck out. Its way overkill for this track. But the opportunity came up to test so I took it. I needed to check brake bias etc. I have new tires here and will get them mounted and will get some vids up on new rubber. Made a few other changes as well.
This is amazing. Only bad part is the video is about an hour too short!
thanks. here is a bit more. Tires were toast before I got there but had the opportunity to test so did. I have 8 new slicks ready to mount. new exhaust is on and alignment is done. Next outing should be a much better representation of the trucks ability pending the exhaust passing tech db limits. more vids coming. Thanks for the compliment. czcams.com/video/-K-bxOTnN7Q/video.htmlsi=M6Jx73UQC7Dbazyt
The sound is incredible
thank you. With her Nascar exhaust as designed she's a different animal. Im trying to get more vids up. . Thanks for the message czcams.com/video/HumsAj7FAzQ/video.htmlsi=DBAR0XwBhgUDtDPZ
Guy in the truck is just chillin
Youre a hell of a driver to keep up like that. I never realized how much grip a NasTruck really has
thank you. still have a ways to go to get into the comfort zone. this vid does the truck no justice as Im just testing and not close to on pace. Ill link a vid of on pace with Skinner driving. I have a pic of the truck lifting inside tire over a foot:) Its crazy grip on fresh rubber. Its a balance of traction and power. thanks for the comment. more vids coming... czcams.com/video/UqWbDVp6u5I/video.htmlsi=EXATFTMJxBdepV45
Out of curiosity, how much does it weigh?
@@a36538 2897 without driver
he could have got him in the turns if he wanted too
That truck should be beating the Porsche. In the right hands that truck would lap the street car.
It will be very interesting to see the "re-match".
One of the fastest production cars ever vs a NASCAR truck...
cant wait !
It’s coming. My buddy owns the Porsche. We will try and get together. The problem with this track AMP is it’s not ideal for the truck. Very tight and that’s where the Porsche shines. He was a touch quicker here and I was a touch quicker at Road Atlanta. Truck is almost ready. Slicks need to be mounted. And we are set
@@mostwantedmotorsports Can't wait ! Thanks for the reply.
It’s a long way from one of the “Fastest Production Cars Ever” !!!!
@@cutoverpark9596 ....around a road course...
@@kennethalbert4653 I understand that,There’s still way faster production cars than a GT3 Porsche that’s all I was saying,It’s definitely a fast car I’m not disputing that I’m just pointing out that it’s not in that category of One of the fastest ever that’s all…
He’s just joyriding it in jeans and bare hands too 😎🇺🇸
Awesome video and sound ... and thanks for posting the longer clip in response to the comment below ... can't wait for more!
More please!! 😎🏁
more is coming I promise. Looking like April 17 at the latest. Mounting a fresh set of rubber and redoing front windshield and we are ready:)
That truck has mad power you can see him pedaling out of it to keep it straight. By all means that set up right he should be able to chase that Porsche down

Heard it break loose... Nice pedaling!
Thanks. New tires are here. Should be back out second week of April alot more dialed in and on fresh tires.@@jeffreid7272
I love the sound of those nascar trucks
Pretty cool to see a road car and a race truck go at it a bit. Great driving!
def awesome to see. And to see differences at different tracks. all good fun. there are some other vids of him following me at Road Atlanta. Check them out. Im headed out tonight for alignment aand then Friday we tighten up a few loose ends. Add some color and will try again on fresh rubber. videos coming when I have the opportunity to get her on track again. And thanks.
Kind of goes to show how actually quick the Nascar cars can be on a road course, we usually think they are very, very slow.
agree. set up well and driven well there isnt much that will outrun them. They are on pace with P cup cars etc. The only issue is they are a handfull to drive like that. no ABS or any kind of nannies for help so its all driver. That has been my biggest learning curve. I am prepping for april 17th and will be on fresh tires etc and will see what I can get done and run some 10/10 laps. My guess is if the moons align I should see at least a 1:28. Subscribe so you get the updates. Ill have some new stuff shortly. Thanks for the comment
Holy shit this thing is just sick, love it! 👍👍
thanks. Its a blast. New vids coming as Ill get it back out on new tires etc around second week of April so keep an eye out. Like and subscribe to get the updates.
that axle hop at 0:50 was pucker inducing as a viewer
yeah she is finicky.
Oh hell yeah, give me the truck any day !
For a road car that porsche did well
Yeah Van is very fast in his GT3. And the car is set up well. Cant ever dismiss a GT3 driven well.
The car seems to pull the truck on the straightaway but the truck definitely has the corners on lock.
truck pulls away from the GT3 as you can see in the road atlanta videos. But at AMP I have to run a very restrictive exhaust which created a massive hesitation in the rpm range I need to be in. I am also on very worn out tires. So here its just a test and playing session. I built another exhaust system which is less restrictive but hope it doesnt bust the db limit. All that said I also have power pulled back 200 HP. This motor makes 840HP and with the small carb and exhaust seen here Im at 625HP. Mostly unusable lol. All the power in the world wont help ya at AMP. Very tight and technical. This is Porsche territory for sure. The other vids at Road Atlanta show the power being used but I still have it dialed back but with open exhaust on small carb. Power is 665HP at road atlanta. Ill put the other carb on at some point once more cofortable with the truck. Thanks for the comments.
Truck sounds effortless
The camera doesn't do justice to how much elevation change AMP has.
I love that course. Atlanta and NJMP are probably my two favorite tracks in this side of the country.
AMP is my favorite all time track. Great facility. Great people. Love the technical and elevation changes of AMP
I love this $hit. I'm a Porsche guy (I have three, including a 964 RSR, 2018 GT3 manual, and a 2024 Cayenne Turbo GT)...except on the track/racing: for this I run a Trans Am GT1 car (and smoke GT3 RS's and Cup cars all day). No nannies (traction control, yaw control, throttle control, anti-lock brakes) here. And the Porsche pukes hate my guts! This guy in a NASCAR pickup is AWESOME! Some dude told me he bought one for $13,000.00! Go get 'em bro...
Thanks for the compliments. So many quick to judge by a quick vid. what most dont realize is I love Porsches too. Have had several. I just enjoy the truck and cant afford the GT3 now as prices have gone crazy. People want to hate but Im a car guy. I have driven just about every platform on track from Audi RS4, Cadilac CTSV, Ford Boss, Chevy SS 1LE, ZL1 1LE, Race Bikes and many others. I love em all. I love giving the exotics and high dollar stuff a run. Its just a fun day. Some times Im faster, sometimes Im slower. I am just dialing the truck in. More to come. Getting the rest of the safety gear in place as we will turn it up and start taking it more serious. Thanks again for the comments and awesome stable you have...
@@mostwantedmotorsports Your are most assuredly welcome!!! I think basically people (barring extraneous events...like cancer, or getting run over by a bus) are like pebbles in stream...they gravitate to where they fit it. You obviously have a talent for driving (I do not flatter people). Your automotive choice confirms that. Many, "drivers," want to feel like they are the fastest on the track (mostly men...unfortunately). This is NOT the purpose. It is to have fun. And like myself, I think you have experienced, and, "boiled down," the driving experience you desire...regardless of what others think of you. Good for you! If you ever get to VIR, let me know. I run SVRA, but certainly still do HPDE events. Be save, my friend.
Thank you for the invite. I hope to get up there one day for sure. Yessir, for me its all about a good fun day. Thats why you'll never see me dive in under someone etc. I raced semi serious 1/4 mile with sponsors and left it because it became "not fun". I'm not interested in setting any more records. I have nothing more to prove. I like enjoy the truck for me. I built 90% of this truck in my garage. I even built the fuel lines. Every rivet. All wiring you name it I did it. Had the teams finalize the work and sort stuff out I cant in a personal garage. Offeris the same here if you ever want to visit road atlanta or atlanta motorsports park. Hope to catch up.do you have a FB page. @@JohnDoe-re1ll
Noice. Once you get the hang of that thing, that GT3 is toast lol.
thank you. Im getting there. I have it way dialed back for testing and hence Im on old tires. Im prepping the truck over the next two weeks and new videos will be coming soon. She will be dialed in with fresh rubber, fresh alignment, and a tweak to the exhaust etc. Ive done the testing to make sure its safe, now we have fun.
The Porsche has incredible traction and acceleration out of the corners, probably on street/performance tires. The truck overwhelms it’s tires on corner exit (high horsepower) and is likely on slicks (we don’t know for sure). Remember that the Porsche GT3 was created by Porsche for exactly these types of tracks and it is set up out of the box to do this. The truck is a pure race vehicle but has to overcome a large frontal area, a lot more drag and was initially designed for ovals. This is obviously a road course version and the driver of the truck does an amazing job keeping it on pace with the Porsche, but the Porsche’s corner exit speed is staggering! If the truck can get in front of the Porsche at the start, it might be able to hold the Porsche at bay for a bit but once it gets into the corners the Porsche will likely get around the truck.
Agreed and thanks. At road atlanta I stayed in front. Both days Im just testing. The truck has alot more grip and power available. I just am on some old tires etc for a quick test session. once dialed in we will see how it does. More vids coming. Ill get Van to bring the GT3 back out:) His best run at AMP is a 1:28 I believe and there is no reason the truck cant do the same or better once dialed in and I get a little more comfortable with no abs:)

I would like the truck out front and see if the car can keep up with him
czcams.com/video/kXppbZHurp4/video.htmlsi=GyeqMeY2SdRt5ktd depends on track of course AMP isnt fair for the truck, RA isnt fair for the GT3. Here is a video It pulls away on the straights. I am taking it easy here because I was just testing it out of a full blown restoration. I also have power pulled back 200HP. 650HP here and makes 840HP on my other carb. Its more of a Cup car vs truck for a fair comparison. Thanks for the comments.
Nice drive! You guys are hauling the mail!
Thanks. They were good test sessions. We were both on wore out tires. Im prepping the truck now for this season. Some good vids coming.
@@mostwantedmotorsports I subscribed! Hopefully see you guys down there live sometime this year!
I try to get there as often as possible. Alignment done and testing new exhaust tomorrow at the shop. Will be ready soon:)Thanks for subscribing.@@Kikos_Garage
This is awesome
Thank you. Just getting the channel going and will try and provide better vids and content in the very near future. As it warms up I will start preparing for this season. From winshield tear offs to exhaust set ups for db restricted tracks. And of course new vids of the truck on a normal pace. Cmon warm weather
Not bad for that sort of race vehicle at amp.. impressive!
thank you. It has more to go at AMP once more comfortable . Agree its def not an ideal vehicle for AMP. But AMP is my local track and its a great group of people. Alignment is done. Fresh slicks are being mounted. And Im redesigning my exhaust as this one although passes the strict db limit is causing the truck to stumble. The restriction is hurting the power band. So Im addressing that as well. Trial and error. Truck should go at least a 1:28. Ill be happy with that...
I went to a track day here and some guy pulled what looked like a nascar truck out of their trailer. I meant to speak but beginner geoups and class sessions had me tied up.
If i remember this person either didnt take the truck out at all that day or only ran while i was in class. Wonder if it was same as the guy in this video.
Could’ve been. I ran advanced and only ran a few sessions as I was just testing a few things. If it was the day where it was 107 and people were losing motors that was the day lol.
Brakes sounded very quality, do you have any data on your telemetry? I would bet you can brake much later.
I can brake later for sure. But the alignment is so bad and tires were shot. It was locking the front left up bad. I was just testing the truck. Had an opportunity so we took it. I will have it fresh and ready to run in a few weeks. New videos coming which will be on pace. Also the truck is traveling quite a bit faster than it looks. It ran a 1:30 at AMP and hit 131 on start/finish which is a stout mph. I am also running a super restrictive exhaust to keep it legal at AMP. It hates the restriction. Working on changes for that as well. Trying to get all the pieces of the puzzle together. Thanks for the comments. Truck def has a lot left in it. Just being cautious as it was a 2 plus year restoration and when I say it was torn down to a stripped chassis I mean stripped lol... Ill update shortly. Thanks again.
Guy is chillin! See 44 seconds into the vid he barely gets into the throttle and immediately starts to drift at high speed. Truck has far more than what he's tapping into!
😂 :45 Spinning up 3rd at that speed! Sketchy!
yeah tires were toast. New slicks are here and Im almost ready to let her eat:)
I do motorcycle track days here, not so great for bikes, how do you like it on four wheels?
Much more fun. I have also done a bike track day with Nate Kern at AMP. fun but not my comfort zone even though I ride in advanced. Id say def more fun in a car. Its tight and technical. Reach out any time. I go as often as I can. I live 20 min from the track. thanks for the comments.
Truck wasn’t even pushing hard enough to get the brakes hot enough to stop squealing.
(Racing brakes squeal and have less performance when they’re cold)
Yup just running a few tests. Brake fans were off as well of course.
What tires are you running (or going to run) on the truck? It would be interesting to know what those two cars would do on similar types of rubber.
The truck was on wore out slicks. I run the pirelli P Zero or Goodyear. They are full slicks. Not sure what he was on. I believe he was on Cup 2 Tires. The truck will run over the GT3 on a good tire. You can see some other vids where Im just walking away from the GT3 at RA on same wore out tire. I was being very delicate in braking zones. But you can hear him say in his vid just too much power:) Power to weight is pretty crazy. Truck weighs 2800 pounds. I was just testing. The trucks power is pulled back 200HP and I have it limited as well to 7500 for testing. So I was on 625HP at 7500 vs an available 840HP and 8500. I love the Porsche. I love production stuff like the ZL1 1LE, etc. But these nascar platforms are hard to get past if driven well. The ability to run such a large tire, low center of gravity, huge camber adjustments etc. They are hard to drive though with no nannies. This track is super tight and technical so truck doesn't do very well here. At RA where it can stretch its legs it has an advantage. So many variables. It will run with most cars though.
@@mostwantedmotorsports love it. Thanks for the reply 👍
Man if you could ever open it up I bet you could pass him.
There are other vids from road atlanta. Same Porsche and the truck walks away in the long stretches. Check the vids out.
V8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude hear me out: sequential transmission and Garage56 inspired LeMans aero package. I dont mean to 30 grand of your money but, lets get crackin
This truck however not the RTS sequential is an Andrews A431. It is also a 20K transmission. Has good downforce. This is just a test session and not even 60% of the trucks capabilities. Just took her out to check a few things out. Prepping now for this season and will get after it:) Subscribe if you havent as Im gonna start getting some vids up. Thanks for checking in...
💕Wow💜💜💛💛💛💛💛
A cup car may beat it
very possible on this track. But I have an extra 200HP and extra 2000 rpms if needed :) hard to use it at AMP though. I am not on pace here. Just testing and seeing how the truck will react. Cup cars are hard to catch on a tight course like AMP.
those trucks don't play
Thanks. yup and I have it pulled back 200HP. Cant use it all on a tight track like this but has plenty more in it. Just testing. Almost prepped for the season and will have new vids up soon.
Consider getting some safety equipment for yourself. 👍
all coming. I have firesuit all new harnesses etc. just a test session at a track day,
Hey. How’s it going man.
all is good here. you? Love your vids.
Gt3 drives itself. Driver probably isn’t even using paddles. (Usually what I find at the track). Car has rev matching, track mode, traction control, abs…..blah, blah blah…..basically it’s driving for u. ….. snore…….Guy in the truck has none of that krap. He’s really piloting the truck with his own inputs. People need to stop hopping into a GT3 and thinking they can drive because they have fast lap times. It’s auto pilot and over the horizon missile capabilities vs a ww2 fighter plane.
You were playing with him😊
thanks. here is a bit more. Tires were toast before I got there but had the opportunity to test so I did. I have 8 new slicks ready to mount. new exhaust is on and alignment is done.
