I don't like Wordsworth only because the print is so small. 😅 BUT for $1 I'd take them and if you don't like it, you didn't lose much. If you love it, you can buy a prettier one. I do that sometimes with classics my library has and if i lovec it, then I'll buy my own. You found some great ones!!
Proud of you for paying the bills before buying the books. 😂😂😂 Those Barnes and Noble classics are gorgeous! Middlemarch was...long. I didn't love it or hate it, really. It was just long. I liked Silas Marner a lot more. I kind of want to read Count of Monte Cristo and kind of don't. It just seems so... long. Why are so many classics so long?
Great haul! Do you know the translator for The Count of Monte Cristo you picked up? It's one of my favorite books. So good. And i had forgotten about those books that are done like journals! I loved those. I was always writing my own stories and things so loved having something that was similar.
I’m not sure! I’ll try to figure it out. Are all translations of it abridged? This was a Barnes and Noble edition and I noticed later that it said abridged.

The Count of Monte Cristo movie was good but I could not get into the book the couple of times I attempted it.
I haven’t watched the movie. I’m interested to see what I think about the book. I’ve heard others have similar thoughts as yours!
