Great video. Thanks for NOT glossing over the steps. Often times I watch a tutorial and go away scratching my head. However, I'm going to save this to my favorites and use it repeatedly.
Great video! Super easy to follow. But one minor thing, if you click a repeater twice its actually at 3 ticks. because a standard repeater always has 1 tick of delay, so two clicks makes 3 ticks. Only confusing if you know it
This is the best guy at easy bases I've ever seen. He makes it a slow process so we can see how to build it. This guy is awesome. I subscribed as soon as I saw the video

While I was building I tried to test the door, when I turned it on it worked perfectly, but when I closed it, the bottoms sticky pistons acted like normal pistons.

One of the pistons isn't going off, the redstone connection is out of power, but when i try to put a repeater/comparator there that piston doesn't get pulled back.

I have a 2x2 hole from y 76 to y -44 with carpets over powdered snow at the bottom
There's also a bubblevater going up two blocks from the down hole
The server has a land claim mod installed, so nobody can break the door open or touch the button for the door, which also prevents them from falling in my base

This does not work in c aves and cliffs part 1 as far as I know, the redstone that’s supposed to go into the repeaters and to the left/right to be hooked up to the rest of the redstone connects with the piston next to it, which just fucks up to whole build.

The red dust doesn't seem to link to your first horizontal sticky piston and it works great. When i try to copy, it doesn't work and the ONLY thing different is that red dust link

so i was building this and I realized that the door stays open once you go into the base is there a way to make like a timer that closes the door after you go into it?
does buttons work for it? idk maybe it works cuz in strongholds it closes the iron door after a few seconds
Then just add a lever on the inside
Use a pulse extender and a wood button
@@vonnbvlogs144 to make a button, make a redstone wire going through a block with a redstone torch on it. that redstone torch activates the piston door which means the door is going to be closed. when you press the button it deactivates the redstone torch. you can also add a few repeaters

When I set it up. I noticed that on my end while the on position works (the bottom pistons are pushed) when turning it off those bottom pistons while being pulled down are somehow left in the dead center. What’s causing that.

I figured it out. Just remove the temporary blocks on the side of the center (not the pistons, the 2 other sides)

How do i make it so the pistons are always on, im using a pressure plate so i want it for when you go on the pressure plate, it opens. not closes. Thanks!
Add a redstone torch and more redstone dust behind that
The Pistons are moving though, how do I not make them move because then they swap and some of the blocks that are supposed to raise aren’t raising only moving forward

Alright so, you *ACTUALLY* Don't need to add the redstone repeaters to the sticky pistons going (Upwards) It should work for you now! Hope it helped! (On Java version tho!)

Everyone But there is a way for so that not everyone can suspect the lever use bone meal alot of times and put about 7 levers there but you gotta remember you're actual lever tho
you could put a marker thats inconspicuous and put the lever there and just break and replace the lever while doing this

We both on bedrock then because mine messed up
An idea for getting out, in the middle dig down two blocks and put sticky pistons and and slime blocks and the connect it all with redstone to a button and I know ur gonna be like oh but the slime blocks will stick to the floor but just put pink terracotta (the one with the arrows) on the sides and it will not stick and it will be pointing towards the middle

I figured out a fix for those of you having trouble. STICKY PISTONS DONT PULL PISTONS THAT ARE EXTENDED.The short answer is to put a delay on sideways facing pistons so that the upward facing piston has time to retract the block before being pulled away by the bottom sideways facing piston. So just make a line for the sideways piston but put a max delay on it. Then make a line for the upward one but with no delay. Lmk if you need more detail

Not working for me I covered it up then I pressed the lever the Pistons that were supposed to bring the stuff the dirt up just stayed there the other Pistons didn't bring it to the side I wasn't able to drop down
