The Empire has a pantheon of different gods, chief among them is Sigmar of course. But Ulric was Sigmar's god when he was mortal, and Ulric is still widely worshipped in the Empire today, more prevalently in the northern provinces like Middenland, Nordland, Hochland, and Ostland.
Yeah, Ulric was indeed the warrior god that Sigmar worshiped back in the day when he was mortal. The Sigmarite Church holds Ulric in high regards like he was their favorite uncle.

The only way for me to enjoy Empire matches more is when they are up against the hated Greenskins. Love it!

Its a shame Halberds aren't the mainline Empire infantry unit compared to shielded spears. I love how the Halberds lower their weapons when the enemy is close but the spears use a lot of the same animations as swordsmen. Would love it if CA somehow came back and changed the spearmen animations to be like the high elf ones which are badass as you see those spears rest on top of their shields.

in stirland the sigmarite cult is pretty dominant, especially with the vampire counts next door, so tbe stirlands revenge are almost certainly on the sigmar side of things
One day I want to make an empire general modeled after Boris, but crazy buff and bare-chested. I will call him Toris Bodbringer, and he'll crush Sigmar's enemies by flexing.

One thing that I (also an Empire main from back in the tabletop days) like about Empire is that they don’t have a singular Meta lord. Toddy is tanky and self healing, Franz is a great world beater/assassin character, Markus/Huntsman generals are great sneaky assassins. Not like DE where you only see Malekith 95% of the time. I would love to see some Volkmar and Balthasar action though!
I remember the first days of warhammer 1 when demis with halberds annihilated everything in their path

Not sure if the Bjunas on Grenadelaunchers is worth the Value it says. It does a lot of Damage but don´t kill the Models outright. If you cant follow up to catch them they stay at full Fire Power.
It is much easier to become an Elector Count when you are in a tank.

What a nice and iconic battle
This is probably a good place to ask this. As an old WH2 player who just came to WH3 in the last steam sale what do you guys consider to be the best faction for SP and MP? Looking for something with a strong unit roster but not a TON of new units to learn and does not have wacky mechanics. Was thinking Kislev is that a bad idea? Are Skaven still really good?
I play mostly single player. So my opinion reflects that. But I would say with WH3 the best faction to play would have to Khorn. They are a simple faction with simple units. There's no magic and confusing mechanics to learn. The units themselves are best in class in terms of melee infantry. Skarbrand is a S-tier duelist and a literal 1 demon army if you spec him right.
Once you add in the Champions of chaos DLC, you can then play Valkia who just makes the warriors of chaos games just a steamroll.
Kislev is in a rough area currently in singleplayer but for multiplayer they are decent. As for a new faction Ive been liking Cathay they seem not as crazy of a human faction and their mechanics are easy enough and not to crazy. I haven't seen them much in multiplayer from turins videos but I think they are good in domination too.
For MP, its 100% Slaanesh, SP, I'd say the new WOC are pretty OP!
@@turinRTS what makes slannesh so good? The few matches I played against them as high elves I won. Maybe my opponents weren't using optimal builds.

Yes he's a Orc and I suppose, he's wearing his legendary mount, so maybe he could have more hp because of his mount character ?

Genuine question. Wouldn’t the same game but with 40k units be more fun? I’d love to play this same RTS say as Luna Wolves against imperial fists for example. I want chain swords and bolters. Each Primarch have passive skills based on lore characteristics. Like you could pick 2nd or 11th legion and your primarch has to go on paternity leave.
Total War can't truly simulate 40k combat, which is effectively a sci-fi version of modern combined arms warfare. There's a reason the most modern historical TW game is set in the Napoleonic era, because that was the last time you really had the kind of set piece battles between huge infantry formations that form the core of these games.
