Tysm! As a lesbian I struggle to find books that I'm interested in bc all of them have forced straight relationships in them or have the ocassional gay cis male masc relationship.
That's true. I wish there'd be more lesbian or bisexual girls in "normal" books. I mean books that are about something else, not about the love story...
cherry noodles Oh my gosh I know or they end very badly or they are very sexual or they’re not well written at all. I am a bit picky LOL
If you're on Wattpad, I suggest "When Best Friends Kiss". It has a lot of lesbian, bisexual and non-binary character. Even a transgender person! The main character is a gay guy though.
And I also have a few other LGBTQ book suggestions on Wattpad except I have to check the names again...
i loveeed the "blue is the warmest color" movie- i didnt even know there was a book!
it has different endings, but both pieces stand on their own well :)
Blue is the Warmest Colour has the adaptation too called La vie d'Adele. THAT'S SOOOOO GOOD!!!
Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux are just *chef kiss
Here are some lgbt+ books I found on amazon. I haven't read them but I think they might be good so I just thought you could be interested in that. all of them are about two girls.
-Colorblind by siera maley I believe
-Keeping you a secret by julie anne peters
-Annie on my mind
-She's my ride home
-Taking flight
-Keeping her secret
-Empress of the world by sara ryan
-10 Things I can see from here (not sure if the two girls fall in love or only become friends)
-Style by chelsea m. Cameron
-On the outside by siera maley (bisexual girl)
-Pretend you love me (queer falls for straight)
-A story of now
more😁
-We are okay, nina lacour
-The miseducation of cameron post
-The Space between, michelle l. Teichman
-First position, melissa brayden
-hearts like hers, melissa brayden
-far from the world we know, harper bliss
-Robin talley autor
-Honor girl
-The noble of sperath, siera maley
Thank you, there's no such thing as too many f/f novels :)
WoolfsWhistle Yeah that's true!
Keeping you a secret is a horrible book 😭 don’t read it
Love your hair cut!!
I really want to read Cam Girl but I haven't found a copy yet!
Thank you
Thank you for saying "Just Juliet" is also a bisexual book. And you look very beautiful...
A great book about lesbians is lies we tell ourselves by Robin Talley
I've been meaning to read it! Heard great things
Wonderful video! Fall is my favourite time of year, so I love to have books that are perfect for the season and a lot of these look really good! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time for reading right now, but they are still going on my list for the future!
Thank you! I'm not a big seasonal reader, but sometimes I like to read something atmospheric.Hope you'll enjoy them when you'll have the time :)
oh man this is a helpful list! i also have a few recommendations:
1. women of the silk by gail tsukiyama - I'm always in the mood for historical fiction in the fall
2. Young Woman in a Garden by Delia Sherman for some good fantasy short stories
3. White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi for a good Spooky Fall Read :)
thanks for the recs!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for recommendations!
A good book that I just read that fits into this category is Confucius Jane, by Katie Lynch. I think that you will like it.
I've seen the tittle, but wasn't very interested. Thanks for bringing my attention to it :*
The graphic novel Skim by Mariko & Jillian Tamaki is great for Fall! It has a back to school feel, it's kind of witchy, and it has a protagonist who is questioning/exploring her sexuality.
I've been looking for it for a while now. All the reviews are raving... no luck though
-Crocodile Soup by Julia Darling
-Wild Beauty by Anna Marie McLemore
-The Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moira Fowley Doyle
-Not Otherwise Specified by Hannah Moskowitz
-The Drowning Girl by Caitlin R Kiernan
-The Drowned Girls by Loreth Anne White
-Eat Your Heart Out by Daya Ingram (zombies and lesbians)
-The Seafarer’s Kiss by Julia Ember
-Anything by L.L. Raand
Thank you for some fresh recs :)
@@BooksWaffles You’re welcome :))
These all look amazing!
Hope you'll enjoy them :)
Great video! It's exactly what I was searching for. I'm always looking for lgbtq+ books but I want to read a book that just INCLUDES a love story of two girls but is not only ABOUT that love story. thanks!
I love your accent. where are you from?
I'm glad you found it helpful
Oh, cool! I've never been there but I have a few Russian friends. I really think your accent is nice!
I love your videos!
Thank you for watching
TBH i always felt that Fingersmith was a very autumn book because its in London and London is the most fall like place XD (so rainy rainy rainy)
I reeeaaaallly want to read Oranges are not the only fruit it you make it sound so good.
You know that I love everything Sarah Waters ever published, but if I mention this one more time people will start throwing rotten tomatoes at me :DIt's soooooo good!
Looooool maybe not though? if it suits the theme XD but i guess its true you cant recommend fingersmith in every video lol XD
its on my every growing tbr list then XD after carry one, darker shade of magic 2 and the paying guests
I wish I could though :D
you could do it subliminally? Leave the book facing the audience on the shelf. on your desk. and just... casually nudge it during the video XD
Secretgirl97 ahahaha omg i might actually do that, but only you will recognize it :D
we are okay is a great book which one of my favorites lesbian books
It was good!I did read it recently and recommended in my winter recs video.
tanks, will watch it!!
You are the best at queer reads. I love your videos and the books are alway awesome. Thanks for them!
I loved Ash, it was just perfect for a fairytale retelling. It was beautiful and the way they fall in love made me fall in love too.
"Obviously the protagonist does not get pregnant, because: two ladies"
I don't want to be THAT person, but anyway that's my speciality ;)
