    great flavors for the sauce + dry rub, the best combinations i've seen from countless tuna steak recipe videos. Gonna try this tonight, but maybe with some ginger and garlic added to the sauce due to personal preference. Thanks!

  • @yert1512
    @yert1512 Před 2 lety +2

    I have made this 10 times or more. It is very good. Here are some hints.
    -I stopped using wasabi paste and couldn't tell any difference.
    -I prefer to marinade for 2-5 hours rather than over night
    -you have to cook it medium rare, over cooking the tuna will dry it out and ruin the meal
    -i put the dry rub on one side not both

    • @TheInflicted
      @TheInflicted Před 2 lety +1

      It's tuna- is there even a target internal temp? My understanding is that you're just looking to sear the outside

    • @joeyservo
      @joeyservo Před 2 lety

      There isn't one. It should simply be rare on the inside and seared on the outside. Unless you like yours well done, in which case, eat something else.

    • @thefowlerfactor8262
      @thefowlerfactor8262 Před 3 lety

      For the liquids I "guestimated" about a Tbs each. A little more for the soy. The dry rub I just sprinkled each ingredient across both sides of the tuna steaks after brushing the sauce on and letting it seep in a bit. . I had 5 tuna steaks and they were great. I hope that helps.

    This comment is half "tongue in cheek" but also a bit serious. I was enjoying much of this recipe until the Real Lemon brand lemon juice was being used. Use a "real lemon" or, (if you don't have actual lemons in the house) a quality lemon juice that isn't mostly additives or chemicals. It will enhance the flavors.
