Just sold for $48,000 at Barrett-Jackson
that's all?? looks like 50k put into it...
Yeah, if he ACTUALLY put in an Aluminum head 427 and a muncie 4 speed probably would have DOUBLED his money. Whoever BOUGHT it go a GOOD deal though!!
Probably would've brought that of you never touched it
Great video. I know it took a lot of editing. Thanks, from Oklahoma USA.
Perfect color choice I love that burnt orange colour !
Such a nice build , should’ve came like that from GM !!
Looks good, but I would have kept the headlight doors. I'm a purist, and I just think the bodyline looks cleaner with the headlights hid out of sight
Awesome project
Slick as S … Love ❤️ it.
Beautiful work
AWESOME!!!
i'd have liked to see an all aluminum big block but a cool build anyway.
Fabulous Restorations did a TRUE L88 nut and bolt replica, (I was involved in that project) search for that instead. you'll like that one :)
Awesome,, but it even looked good the way it was before also..
Maybe a tribute car and a good build but not an L88, still, nice video.
Home made tube frame? I'd like to see more details on that:)
Looks like c4 front suspension.
So it's a '71 Corvette Restomod built with FIA style flares and a L88 style hood, not understanding calling it a L88 build (especially no aluminum head BBC), still really nice work, good look, well finished Corvette.
Yeah, more L-88 THEMED than L-88. Evokes a great era though. Seemed like a pretty solid car to start. I might have gone with a variation on the 71 LS-6 or "what if" '70 LS-7. Really nice work though. Somebody stole it at auction.
L-88 ?? LS7 (if that's what was installed) was a far better choice, but it doesn't pack the visual punch of a true Big Block 427 cu in.
Mr. Ed yeah, so many people do LS swaps now it's boring. I know it's a easy way to get modern fuel injection and timing control, but those are available for almost any older V8 engine.
I love the car, having owned a few early chrome bumpers, but why would you put 68-69 gills into the side fenders?
Heart set on an L-88 theme, I reckon.
Just that fuel tank hanging down at the back it looks like an after thought lets whole car down ,
Everyone who hates on it not being a big block, id rather have the ls engine from blueprint they put in it 🤷♂️ Bunch of haters on here
What kind of engine and fuel system/intake is that ?
Nice work but I thought the rear number plate mount looked out of place and quite home made.....
It was better before you started.
Hi great Job, Can we get the Burnt oranje Color Code ? Thanks
Should have started with a shell....no reason cut up a decent car
How many hours did it take to build?
eyyy first :P
How do we define "L-88"?
What are wheel and tire sizes?
Hi there, Does annyone knows the color code for this Car ?
Thanks
Should have started with a tub no reason to cut up a decent car
Dang where the sound at tho?
L88............................LOL
ThAt is not an L88 engine! May be a 427 but,NOT an L88
Ruined a good car. Very sad. Should have got a project car to use. Oh well.
Meh...looks like an Opel GT on steroids
Is that a truck motor they put in that CAR ? hmmmm
