    Absolutely love this song just always loved the harmony between all of them and the band is amazing especially the pianist this song always lifts me up when I’m feeling a little down it’s just simply beautiful

      gindy williams, you are so right! I got to see the Oakridge boys live in concert, and shook hands with Williiam Lee Golden. My mother never paid Oakridge boys are/were a GREAT band, and they ALL had lots of talents, and they sang so well together. Claudia H.

    This live version is absolutely amazing. The string section from the record is not there, yet it's not missed, due to the great musicianship, and amazing vocals. I grew up with this and it stands up so well and could be a hit today.

      @@arethawhite3712 I've been a fanatic fan of the Oaks since Ya'll Come Back Saloon. I have attended 5 Oaks concerts, 3 of which were their Christmas concerts. They always give 1,000%, and the Christmas concerts are beautiful

    One of the Oak Ridge Boys' best tunes--I really miss going to see them perform live. I was also very sad, when I heard about Skip (their guitar player) passing away, so soon after Don Breland ( the bass player) passed away.😢

      O. R. B. is still touring to this day, despite being in their late 70's to early 80's. They sound just as good as they did when they were younger.

    Oh my God this is a truly beautiful song, this song really says it all. About a man losing his wife, and waiting to be with her again in heaven. This song always makes me cry, this song reminds me so much of my mom and dad, and the life they made together. My mom married at 16, and my dad was 22. They have been married 53 yes. Mom dad I love both of you so much, and I'm honored to be your Son thank you both for loving me so much❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I have seen these WONDERFUL men LIVE many times back in the late 70's and early 80's...in fact I was (my claim to fame) IN THE SAME ELEVATOR with Dwayne once lol I was like HOLY SHIT! He was super POLITE!

    I don't understand why the comments are turned off on the videos by the Oak Ridge Boys, but either way. I'm 44 years old and can remember it was a toss up over the Oak Ridge Boys and Statler Brothers that was my grandmothers favorite band. Friday evenings when hee haw was on, or if her radio was on. Everything would stop when either one of these bands were playing. She passed away in 2015, and everytime I hear one of the ORBs or Stats songs I'm reminded of this. Both of these bands are timeless.

Awesome harmony, and the guy with that popular bass voice, I love!!!! They lost a member of the group this year 😢, he was 77 years old. God bless his soul 👼 RIP.       @@arethawhite3712 Which member of the Oak Ridge Boys passed away?? I know 2 guys in the band died--Skip, the guitar player, and Don Breland, the bass player. I think you're confusing the ORB with the Statler Brothers--they lost a member of their group this year, Harold Reid.

      @@kevinmiller6324 I seen that interview and you are absolutely correct about Richard beginning his career with Elvis.You know Richard is from New Jersey as was Eddy Rabbit.im not a jersey fan at all but these two were awesome.i honestly believe JD could get lower on the bass than Richard but Richard had a better voice as a pure singer .Both were awesome,it's difficult to compare greatness!
