Deepest condolences fro Canada to Joe Bonsalls family and friends. He is singing for The Lord now. 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸🙏✝️🕊 Your music will live on forever Joe. Thank you for downloading and the memories.
It's not the music (well not JUST the music) it's the memories of an era of happiness and celebration that simply doesn't exist anymore. And, I don't even like country. But, that vile soul-less crap out now, makes you a fan of this music.
It's been 35 years since this came out! July 2028 will be the 40th anniversary. When we get there, we need to re-do this music video using smart phones so the world can see how technology progressed! Until then, please do not let these good times die.
I grew up listening to the Oaks and can't imagine a life without their wholesome entertainment and music. Saw them in Lancaster, PA one week ago. They looked and sounded fantastic. The new guy is doing a great job that is in Joe Bonsall's spot - wishing the guys and the band much love, health, and success!
I used to watch Steve Sanders on the Gospel Singing Jubilee back when I was 4 or 5 years old. It truly hurt me deeply when he left us! He was so talented!
A great tune by The Oakridge Boys. One to guarantee to get you up dancing and having fun. God Bless you Boys for all the music you've given us for 50+ years. Love and Prayers from Canada 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸🙏
What a 👍 song--too bad Steve Sanders isn't with us anymore. I've been seeing these guys in concert since the 1980's, and they haven't lost one little bit of their energy or their talent! Go Oak Ridge Boys!!!
In my opinion, as long as Steve's material is played, we keep the late beautiful precious here as much as a person in his position can be kept around still. By the way, its been 20 years now since his going forward, if only I had discovered him sooner, I love him SO much!!! (burying my head) God bless you and his family always!!! Holly in East Tennessee
Hey! If you are still here, I have just one favor to ask of you. Can you tell me everything about Steve that you are allowed to share? Thank you so much in advance. God bless you always!!! Holly in East Tennessee (age 6 when this video was done)
A #1 hit for The Oak Ridge Boys on the Country & Western charts. It was the 926th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. My beloved mother saw them several years back at the Newberry (SC) Opera House.
I remember when I was about six years old and playing it on my record player it was the most greatest time to be in an 80s because my mom and dad, was there favorite entertainers. Now I know why they sing this song to me when i was a child! How awesomé, smart and kind they all are. That was the best time to grow up mama and papa were still here did they were happy andCarefree! Dad is 105, my mom is 103 in there blessed héavén with our creator!
My gosh, I've forgotten about these guys! Went to a concert Oak Ridge Concert when I lived in Salem, Oregon. I believe it was 1980... It was like spending the evening with friends!

It’s rare to see a video without William lee golden. Like this video has the guy who took his place for a short period. I personally am glad to see William lee golden back with the oak ridge boys

Gonna take a lot of river, To keep this broken heart afloat, Gonna take a lot of river Running all the live long days, Gonna take the Mississippi, the Monongahela and the Ohio, Gonna take a lot of river To wash these blues away. Gonna take a lot of river To keep this broken heart afloat Gonna take a lot of river Running all the live long days Gonna take the Mississippi, the Monongahela and the Ohio Gonna take a lot of river To wash these blues away. Over twenty years later and this one just sparkles like any modern country and gospel hit. Those ORBs just had something we haven't seen since.

Or an Accordion!
