The "moderate" Palestinian authority is in power in the west bank only because of Israel, it has zero support among Palestinians. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination. 9:123 "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." Many, MANY more surah verses commanding violence, especially Medinan verses. Just one more Medinan verse for you, 66:9 O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination. Let’s not forget ahadith. Sahih Muslim 1:30 "The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah." Sahih Muslim 31:5917 describes Muhammad’s general, Ali, going off to fight but pausing and asking why these people are to be attacked. Muhammad’s response was because they are not Muslim. “Ali went a bit and then halted and did not look about and then said in a loud voice: Allah’s Messenger, on what issue should I fight the people? Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: Fight with them until they bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger” Plenty more in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, but I leave you with what is probably the coldest and most callous utterance from Muhammad, quoted several times in both sets of the two most trusted (authentic) collections of ahadith. When informed that during an attack on unbelievers (attacked for nothing but being polytheists) that innocent women and children were killed, he responded “They are from them.”

I think you're being very generous with the disaster a Palestinian state would be. The "moderate" Palestinian authority is in power in the west bank only because of Israel, it has zero support among Palestinians. The one's with power in a theoretical Palestinian state would be hamas, which has the most support among Palestinians.

I looked up the per capita income of 10+ neighboring countries to Israel....many workers make less than $5000 a year. Israelis about 10x that. Israel is a democracy, Arab-Israelis have full rights...all other countries "from the river(in Pakistan) to the sea(of Morroco)... full of poverty, violence and human rights abuses... Especially against women...sick

Yes, I think you are wrong in your hypothetical situation. I think you are being overly optimistic, and life would be much, much worse than you portray. In addition to all the evils you point out, it wouldn't be long before the neighboring Arab states, all of whom have longstanding historic contempt for the Palistinian Arabs, would rush in and ruthlessly conquer and subjugation them as third class citizens if they were allowed to continue to exist at all. I seriously doubt anyone with a realistic historical understanding of the region believes that any country that engaged in conflict with Israel since its founding had plans to turn over control to the Palistinian people once they won. Today, with all the agricultural and other developments Israel has created, it would be quite the tasty prize to claim.

I agree with the statement “Arab states … have a longstanding historic contempt for the Palestinian Arabs”. Many Persian Gulf states, refuse any type of visas to Palestinian nationals for that aforementioned contempt. Why does anyone would believe that the current population of Gaza would fare better or make Gaza or any land given to them better? Or do those - ignorant- student protestors think Hamas terrorists would allow the money they would receive from charitable or otherwise to be spent on development? I think not.
Israel has done a great job making sure those unmarried women have no houses to leave. Palestinians have a history of bad leadership making bad decisions. They need some kind of Marshall plan to rebuild and the Israelis to stop killing them. Having bad government doesn't justify the Apartheid system in the West Bank and the genocide in Gaza.
