Kanishk Singh Well then I must be a genius because I remembered. And to be honest, I used to hate the subject. I don't remember everything - it's not possible like you said...unless it's a subject you love the most and you are someone who loves politics, etc. It's just that some people ought to be remembered - I don't think not that many generations have passed so we can overlook them...may be after a few generations no one will remember the (going by this video, probably from the next generation).

How is that ironical? Taxi drivers are not all illiterate. There is such wide unemployment in Mumbai that even well qualified individuals need to take up jobs that do not deserve their specific degrees. It's a sad situation. Also, just FYI some people choose to drive taxis. Don't be disrespectful.

Aye man I enjoyed the video in Being Indian humour. But here I am talking about the fact that you used 'irony' so wrongly. I mean, did you even think before you typed that it's ironical? Probably not. It's THAT much ingrained into you that taxi drivers are not properly educated. Just think before you type. You may be insinuating an idea you don't wholly support-like this case(I'm guessing). For example: when guys say "you're strong, for a girl"-they're trying to be nice but really, they're just saying that girls aren't strong(A STEREOTYPE). You did the same. And I don't care about this battle of comments. I just hope you understand what I meant. You're doing this subconsciously. Not consciously.

The kid's knowledge shows how we go far away from basic necessary knowledge when we step out of school. I would not judge the ignorance of millennials based on this as we seldom come across this information later in life.

Not sure if it is a good idea, but we should have "back to school" day; where every adult goes back to that basic civics and history lessons to just keep them inform. (or just wait for another movie showcasing it starring Aamir Khan :P)

Do you know the name of the grandfather of your grandfather? Chances are, no. So, once you get out of school, you start to realize that the only place you'll be helped by knowledge of Gandhi's antics is an examination hall(or punchlines to jokes).

He even knew that Rajendra Prasad was the president of the constituent assembly. Not that he said it like that, but he knew it. I salute that guy.
