We moved to Texas 1 year ago and I was told by a co-worker to use Advion Fire Ant Bait. Did an application last night.

@@Brettsgrasscapades It is granules that you sprinkle around or you can use the spreader but app rate is 1.5lbs/acre , not sure why they call it bait.

Awesome title and thumbnail A+ 👍👍
Never tried those 2, always use Taurus sc around the perimeter but you can’t apply it to the lawn so I’m gonna pick up some of that Biden you showed.
Do you notice less worm castings after you apply that?

Just a suggestion. I went down the path you are headed with great intention and a willingness to help. I found it very rewarding and continued for 7 years on the board. I also made sure I had my applicator's license and got signed off by the HOA lawyer that I was insured. Believe it or not some people get angry when you try to help. I called them armchair quarterbacks. They would rather complain than take action and resent those who do. 👍👍

When I lived in Bradenton, I use a 1” pvc with 45 angle tip. Hammer into ant nest 6-10 inches down. Remove pipe knock dirt out and replace into hole. Spray your liquid directly into nest. Try it, great results as well. Using cypress mulch will also help keep and out of garden beds. Love the Bermuda, let’s see a cut video

Keep in mind that Temprid fx is a repellant . Fire ants can do something called budding. Non repellant pesticides prevent that.

This option is good if you don’t want to kill your grass. The other option is gas soaking the top layer. Vapors are enough for deep penetration down w/o digging.
