Five stars: Mowing my lawn while listening to this podcast. Suddenly a nest of wasps didn't appreciate that I accidentally destroyed their home and everything they love using my lawnmower, and they fought back hard. Now my lawnmower is sitting in my yard and I'm afraid to go get it

5 stars: you gave me ptsd to getting yelled at by my English teacher about the difference between a verb and adjective
Four stars: kindergarten teachers do actually teach. They do the foundational work for reading, writing, counting and math, science, and time, they work on improving social and motor skills. Elementary is the hardest to teach by far bc there are standards but the kids are useless and teachers have to develop lessons plans for an entire school day rather than just one period. Not to mention contract hours start before the school day and extend afterwards, plus staff development days, and teachers have to pay for most of their supplies, which is obviously a bigger burden for elementary. Also they’re not getting paid during the summer. Like most if not all districts offer a plan to split your salary over 12 months so there’s still checks, or it just works that way to begin with, but those months off are not considered in compensation even though you do end up doing work during them, and it’s not like you can have good paying job during that time.

I have one kinda funny memory with my primary school... We were on trip with three classes from one grade, there were class a, b and c. I was bigger in size and one girl was throwing shit in my face about fatness, I was really pissed so I told her liteatly to fuck off. Her teacher heard that, and I even told her that her student was really rude to me but she was determined to punish me. Girl was from oposide class (c) that woman was asking me wich grade i am and what is my name. I told her random name someone who don't even exist and that I am from "a" class when in reality I was "b". It felt not right to got scold when that girl started so I played little trick on her teacher 😎

This was a short one but a good one
I went to a private school for elementary and middle school. In second grade we had a new kid named Keith. Keith came from a fucked up family. My teacher was the sweetest woman alive and I thought of her as a grandmother. He would hit and swear at her like she was trying to kill him when she was only trying to help. He would throw all our desks, seeing as he was a larger kid, and threaten and go through with hitting us. There were like seven of us total. Keith went to the office a lot. He was there a few months and one day Keith didn’t come back. We were all really glad even though we weren’t sure of where he went seeing as we were all probably seven or eight years old.
Should make an episode where you try high food combinations people have come up with. (Maple syrup in a whole grain wrap was ooft)

this part when they are talking about cigarettes it maid me remember that i kept the fist 2 i ever smoked and that they were in a big monster can and i just got done cleaning out my room or trash and shit i didn't need and i had a lot of monster cans in the big box i was putting everything in and it made me this this is something very important so i went in the trash to get them and i put the dates on them and i realized a year has passed when i smoked them.
in 4th grade 2 boys got mad at the teacher and started rolling around on the ground like a caterpillar and the teacher just ignored them.
and in 7th grade 5 or 6 days after the first day there was a fight then a couple weeks later there was 5 fights 💀

shaving cream on a table is how i learned to read right and spell a bit bc back in 2nd and 3rd they put e in the back of the class bc i would tell them i cant see and they thought i was joking so i would get put in the back and then they finally gave me an i test and they found out i had really bad eyes so through that time i didn't really get time to read and as soon as i got glasses i was so far behind bc i didn't know anything from then on i had to use the big lined paper that smelt like glue till 5th grade i still had a really low reading level but i was getting better go i got regular paper but i was still struggling with reading and i still struggle a bit till this day but im no longer below im quite average now and im 17 and in a early college so but im still really blind doctorates say with out my contacts i am labeled as handy caped.
