Only One Synth - Song 1: Korg Monologue

For this series i'm using the Electro-Harmonix 2880 multi-track looper. It can record 4 mono tracks (or 2 stereo tracks) and one
stereo mix track.
The Korg Monologue is synced to the looper via midi. When i hit start on the looper, the sequence of the Monologue will start with the same tempo. All loop tracks of the 2880 have the same length.
I'm running the Monologue through the TC Electronic Flashback Triple Delay and the Digitech Supernatural Ambient Verb on some of the tracks.
In this video you can see me playing or tweaking the different tracks. What you hear is a live mix of the finished song.

Thanks! Yeah, i think it's not too bad for basses. The supernatural reverb pedal helps a bit to stereo spread it and give the bass more depth. But even without it the monologue delivers enough low end for my liking.

Minilogue is cool too but i only kept the Monologue. Aside from the sound i especially like the fast lfo's and the micro tuning function. It's a freaky little synth with some cool tricks on board. I wish you a lot of fun with it!

It can produce some nice dark bass sounds. Some d&b basses use 3 oscillators and the Monologue has only 2. But i think almost every synth can do good bass if you tweak around a bit.

Thanks! The reverb definitely helps to make it bigger and give it more space. But usually i wouldn't use only one synth for a song. It was more of a challenge.

I was wondering if I should get one of these they seem worth it and I'm a begginer ,never had a synth before but would like to get one,should I Invest in one of these or do u recomend any better

It's a good beginner synth imo. But you can only play one note at a time because it's a mono synth. But you can't go wrong with the Monologue. The parameter locks and step sequencer are really nice to have on a synth.
