You have a great clear voice, speak so well, & you are just excellent at explaining this product. Korg should hire you as a spokesperson.
Thanks! And they can't afford my rates lol jk I'd rather do me and make whatever type of vids I want! Defo want to check out that Korg wavestate at some point tho!!
I recently bought a Minilogue for my first synth (first keyboard even, I don't even know music theory, nevermind scales, chords or actual notes), and this video made me feel a hell of a lot better about messing around on it.
How’s the progress I’m just fucking around on my brothers keys board and look at how much you can mess with a. Synth it gave me ideas
i guess Im randomly asking but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Jamal Emmett instablaster :)
@Kashton Eric Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kashton Eric It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account !
I've been waiting for this video. Everyone needs a Monologue. Just enough synth to inspire you, but not so much as to overwhelm you with menu diving and shift buttons.
Wow. Thanks for an incredibly well-done tutorial. It's an incredible tool not only for owners but for prospective buyers who want to know whether this machine will meet their needs. I would think Korg should be interested in paying you to post this video on their sales site.
I already love your videos for such simple and fun explanations to inspire dawless production, but Dr. Slump just makes it all better
This is a fukin amazing review thank you it helped me decide whether to get one of these or a banjo
BigFriendlyJoe lol I hope you get the banjo too!
I hope you got the banjo.
BigFriendlyJoe I went with the dulcimer.
This comment chain is fucking great.
awesome jam at the end Jade and great demonstration
Best review of this thing. And I think I've seen them all now. So many have quiet narration followed by loud piercing examples. Thanks for the good mix!
Your reviews are very thorough and straight to the point. Much appreciated.
Just what I was looking for! Great informative video!
What a seriously fantastic review and demo! Thank you so much! I must have one of these.
You always deliver the goods with your vids, this being no exception. Its even more pleasing to watch you deliver a tutorial on synthesis basics for the Monologue rather than assume everyone is at an advanced level and ,fluent with all the technical terminology. 👍
I like to keep things noob friendly, we're all constantly learning
This seems like a really feature-packed synth for the price. The sequencer and motion control recording are a real plus.
My favorite synth ever because of the cool automation options and cool sound and a surprizing amount of control.
It really is a gem!
One of the best reviews ever: so helpful!
Best video on the Monologue for starters I´ve ever seen. Congratulations, and thanks a lot.
Thanks for the demo. I just got mine today and this is a great introduction to the synth.
Excellent video. Very clear and thorough presentation. Thank You.
such a thorough introduction to the monologue! Thank you so much, you're awesome!
Thanks for watching :)
Thiz is the best tutorial on the monologue ever...
Great video. I love the Monologue. It sounds fantastic, looks great, feels great, is easy to use and priced reasonably. Great for fun chip-tune sounds and sequences too.
I just bought one in black, and now I can finally go semi-Dawless! This synth truly is amazing.
That was an excellent tutorial. Best demo i've seen yet!
Excellent video. A buddy of mine sent me a link about the Monologue last week and yesterday I ordered one! Woo!
This is great ! I'm about to get one so great timing !
I've been considering the Monologue to add to my setup so good job with helping me decide :)
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing this!
Great video. Really straightforward and to the point. Thanks :)
Awesome! Thank you for this. Helped a lot.
Great demo,crazy sounds, nice t-shirt!
Found your channel today and I'm already a big fan!
Your music sounds very much like 90s dos games, arcade games and old console games, very nostalgic for me, I love it !
this has been the most useful tutorial video i've seen !! thank you !!
Thank you,, just purchased the black,,, you rock ✌🏼🙏🏼
i bought it, and now, because of you, im impatient to play with! nice tutorial.
Holy crap... I'm an absolute beginner at synth and this is the video I've been looking for. Thank you for actually explaining everything! :)
Happy to help!
Best demo i've seen yet!
I have two!....you know....for stereo
Haaaa. Loveit
Weird Music great! Give me one
I was thinking about getting a second, cause right now using mine for the bassline in my jams and its like too nice to just be the bassline but at the same time its a really dope bass. I think we will see used monologues under 200 bucks soon, thats when I'll get a second one, thinking black or red to go with my blue one.
I have 4... for polyphony
Für das Geld hattest du auch ein Instrument gekriegt....gibt kinderkeybords die lang geiler sind und sogar alleine spielen können und nur 10% von dem teil kosten... Aber ich brauche Knöpfe..... 👍😅
Cool tutorial, and I prefer synths with knobs and buttons than just a screen and menus diving etc... My 4 year old loves our BSII, and even she is starting to understand how to shape a sound.
not much menu diving but there are hidden features and adjustments to be made to tailor your playing styles..The dutch bass and soundtrack free packs are beyond the best I have heard for presets
They payed this girl xD
Very informative thank you!!
Thanks. Really clear straightforward video. 👍
Totally on my wishlist.
Just found your channel awesome stuff! I don't have a synth yet (i play guitar and bass) but, Ive been looking at getting one and I think I found it. Cheers from Texas!
Great video, I've been looking to start messing with synths for a few years, thank you!
Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much!
I agree. I had to figure a lot on my own but you gave the concepts clarity.
Great review! Very thorough
great reference video, thank you!
I just bought one because of your video! thanks!
Saw one of these on sale online. Eagerly awaiting for it to arrive so I can start creating my own vapor wave tunes😎
Love your review, great help for a guy like me ... a beginner . thanks
Ty for this 🤎🫀🤝🏽
I just ordered one. Ridiculously excited. My fiancé has a minilogue which is an incredible piece of equipment. I have wanted a monologue for a while though. I am kind of a korg head though and already have an electribe es-1 which is also an incredible machine.
thank you for this video! Helped me in my decision which synth i should buy
This is a great video! I originally just wanted a basic synth with a decent sequencer, but you showed there's so much more that can be done, and that it's not that hard. I'm not an expert yet, but I think if I watch this video regularly I'll be able to get the most out of my Monologue. Thanks for breaking it all down!
Thank you very much for this in depth review of the Monologue.
Some years ago, I got 2 little monotrons (MonoDelay - MonotronDuo) and the filters and sounds are very similar.
Maybe This year I'll switch to this little synth to have more control.
Wishing you a great week, with lots of electronic and musical fun, cheers!
Best review for me thanks 😉👍
I have an idea for a video or video series: here you have assumed we know what is vco, vca, lfo, decay, gate, resonance, etc etc and showing how these works on this synth. What if someone is really newbie and wants to start learning or is curious or deciding whether to enter this domain or not. Those terms are daunting and there are many to learn and understand. It would be cool if you could make a video or video series for absolute beginners and teach all of these, theoretically and then practically on a synth one by one so we could learn basics of synthesis and synthesizers...
I have the Behringer crave and ordered one. Super stoked!!
thanks for an interesting video..im thinking this might be fun for lockdown ...
Great review, thank you very much! :)
Thank you!
Best tut.
Great Video very Detail and informative !!!!! I have been wanting to buy me a Monologue for a while.
This was tremendous
thanks just got mine last night ;) this helped a lot
Wow I like your video!!! I am thinking to buy this kind Korg and your video help alot!!
What a sound! So much synth for such a small amount. Great work, KORG, except that the replacement knobs looks much better than the originals.
Ayyy I really want to say thank you for sharing this info to us today you really helped me understand what certain knobs do and how to be more creative I use to have the monologue I ended up returning it😬but I have been using my Korg minilouge and to give you my honest opinion I appreciate your channel it’s always so amazing what people can cre8 or share what they know to help people who need support as you see the feedback I gotta say some times I’m sure it’s a great feeling or one of the greatest feelings to making someone ones day fill full filled with positive energy well I hope I made sense but thank you once again for making my day a better day Salute 🔥🔥🔥💯
Thanks for the kind words!
Dawless Jammin' no problem just giving my honest opinion keep up the great work
ARTTRAVELS MUSICTRAVELS Glad to hear you got the Minilogue instead of the Monologue.
Kool! I've a Korg Rk 100S. I love Korg's sound engines
That was an excellent tutorial.
Haven't pressed play yet but still saying "YYYYEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!". I've gotta get one of these.
Love my Monologue! Nice tutorial... learned some new things.
Where did you get those cool dials/knobs? They are a big improvement over the the ones that come with the synth.
Also want to know about the knobs =P
Chromacaps are softish and rubbery and very nice. Coolorcaps are more like a hard eraser feeling, a little more crisply shaped, and more saturated in color. Both are great. I lean towards Coolorcaps.
mine are black.i want yellow knobs
Nice explanation while playing with it.
im rockin' this monologue with the Gaia SH-01. dope contrast!
rufflee. Nice!
It's really cool to see how your videos have progressed. Thanks for the share and the knowledge. The young Yoda of the synth world right here. Where did you get the custom knobs? Those are cool
Great vid. Thx
Awesome demo! Such a dope synth #drool
a great review and guide!!!!!
Conny Komen thanks!
Excellent video Jade. This is a great synth to start with as a beginner but it's also a great mono synth to use in the studio for pro's as well. It's also an ideal portable option to use while away from the main studio and only have battery powered options to create with. Paired with a Novation Circuit and a Boss BR Micro 80 4 track digital recorder you can create and record music without having to use a computer
Great overview.
Great Video, I buy my Monolouge next in June 2020. Greetings from Germany, Markus
Korg struck gold with the ‘Logue and Volca series. Glad they’re still trying and innovating. Roland should really take note.
Solid tutorial!
thank u, i understand my monologue better now!
Conny Komen glad it helped :)
Прікольний сінтезатор!😊
I just got one by mistake (saw the price, didn't read, I was sure it was a minilogue)... but afrer watching the lfo part of this video I'm excited again. This thing is nice.
cheers for this video . I'm buying this today , going to pick it up this afternoon , i was stuck between the monologue and the minilogue .
Solid video! 👍
I agree with you on this one!
Best Review! :)
Like the custom build. I have some things planned for my 2.
nice video! What synth do you think is better and why... Korg Monologue or Arturia Microbrute?
Hey! Nice video, love your channel! I was wondering if the Monologue sends midi also from the knobs if i use it to control software synths, daw etc ?? Tanks ;)
And if not, do you know synths wich send midi also from knobs/sliders?
Sounds Great. Still glad I got the Novation Bass Station 2 instead.
Is novation better
Great video for discovering and also learning. Did you work long on this synthetiser before doing the video ?
About a month or so. Thanks for watching!
Good video as always! Also, nice knob color scheme! Care to tell me what shaft size and type to use, I have been thinking of pimping both the Minilogue and Monologue for a while?
Not sure about size, I get them from chromacaps.com originally for my TR-8
I usually buy bulk from china once I find out the shaft dimensions, but this one I have not found yet.
any pedal recommendations specifically for the monologue?
thanks btw, your content helped me get into synthesis!
Check out my Synths & Pedals playlist, I use it on plenty of those! And nice!
About the most informative, well made videos I've seen on the monologue...and I've watched about all of them. Question: where did you get those custom knobs& were they easy to replace the originals? Thanks for your great video!
link in the description, yes, and thanks!
@@JAdeWii_ got it, thanks. Rock on.
Great intro vid. Just missing the tip about getting to extra pages in the menu by pressing the same flashing step sequencer button again. For setting pitch bend range, cutoff key track etc...
Hey, great video! Just picked up a monolougue & just starting out. Super basic question...wondering if there was any kind of ideal starting position for knobs & toggles when firing up? Thanks!
