Oh, stop. People all over the country talk like he did among their friends. And police officers are notorious for talking lewd and crude all day long among their peers. They have to deal with the derelicts in our society on a regular basis. And the utterly plain dumb ones too. Anyone unaware of how police officers talk among themselves is just naive.

That's Proctor's fault! When I began watching this trial, I scoffed at most of those conspiracy theories; I didn't buy them at all. During the trial, I became more and more convinced that there wasn't enough evidence, and the little evidence there was had been handled in a totally unprofessional manner (from the perspective of a 6-year-old with a detective comic gimmick) or was criminally negligent and interpreted in a way that didn't align with science and physics at all. It was a total mess, and I thought it would lead to a quick not guilty verdict. However, after seeing all of the aftermath, especially the statements by the officials, I'm now convinced that they will continue to do what they're doing. They will take this mess of a case and retry it. The best thing the defense can hope for is a mistrial. They will never get a not guilty verdict in this deeply corrupted county. It's absolutely appalling, and while it's obvious that they are trying to cover things up, I now doubt that the only thing they are covering up is their botched investigation. There is more going on here, and there will be no accountability whatsoever. Multiple cops admitted to having committed DUIs on the stand-nothing has happened. They haven't been charged, haven't been held accountable. This county seems to have a huge problem, and unless a lot of people in power step up, things won't change. I really feel for Karen Read. She is innocent in this and gets thrown under the bus continually. What's going on in this county is an abomination.

    • @yankeecitygirl

Yes but recall that the corruptocrats are being investigated by the feds who have already subpoenaed key players. The feds also provided the Read defense with the Proctor text messages and the ARCA team. The prosecution had access to the same resources but conveniently ignored it. All they wanted was a guilty verdict and thought that was a gimme with the way Bev rigged the jury.
