I Ordered your Basic Seasoning, and it just arrived today. I'm looking forward to trying it. I have one son who doesn't like the combination of sweet and savory caused by most Chinese sauces, so I'm going to try using only your basic seasoning mix for him.
I try to keep a selection of frozen vegetables on hand. I usually use frozen Peas and Carrots for Fried Rice, which I make about once a month. But I recently made a meal with a frozen "Stir Fry Blend" and it turned out quite good when combined with some fresh onion.

Adding in some fresh broccoli tricks the brain into thinking it is all fresh. At one of my restaurants, for mashed potatoes, we boiled two or three potatoes, then used the hot water with instant potato flakes and stirred in the boiled potatoes, leaving lumps. I cannot tell you how many times people raved about our mashed potatoes because the lumps made them think they were all from scratch. Not once did I ever lie to a customer, though. If they asked, "Are those homemade?", I answered, "Lots of people ask me about those. Do you like them?" That is usually the end of it and the customer is happy.
