I dont even think TK was a character in that last segment. He was more of a prop in that scene. As long as he's used like this and doesn't involve himself in matches I'm ok with him being used sparingly as a narrative tool.
He was getting written off TV very specifically. The whole saga was introduced to gain heat for the Bucks, who kayfabe or maybe IRL engineered the whole footage saga for heat for Perry coming back, but haters and cornette are way too loud and get it twisted

The casino gauntlet match was a fun and much better way to give a wrestler to win an opportunity or the title itself. It’s more creative than booking a battle royal for a belt that was recently vacated.
I know it's in vogue to for Cultaholic's comments section to hate on AEW, but I thought the segment was hilarious in a good way.

I can't take this storyline seriously because 1. Tony Khan feared for his life and fired Punk because of it and since it was shown on TV along with the backstage footage, its kayfabe now. 2. It'll be a competitive match and I feel the international title needs to be stepped up to where it was before. Roddy is in a bit of mid role in Undisputed, so it takes interest off the title.

I've heard some people call this the moment when AEW jumped the shark which is pretty stupid in my opinion. 1: It's just your standard heels beat up authority figure angle. 2: AEW have more than their fare share of actually stupid story lines and moments, so the idea that they weren't shark jumping moments and this somehow is, is just plain silly.
I feel like the impact of TK getting attacked would have been bigger if he didn't take a flat back bump when getting punched in the gut.
Also they made a point of calling TK the GM, and with Kenny Omega coming back next week, makes me think they might do something there...
I think the story is definitely that with TK out the Elite have control of AEW.
And this leads to an actual authority figure (maybe Sting)
