I hope that when you do get to Australia you don't rely on Ubers as much as you did in this video. Knowing how people get around without a car highlights an important side to a city or country. Having said that, I really do enjoy these short videos of places around the world, especially where I have not visited before myself.

People say the canal is boring but they go crazy over a statue standing still holding up a fake torch in New York harbor. Just standing still. Go figure.

Hey, just wanted to say that all your economic videos are the best. Whether it is how far a certain amount of money goes in a country or explaining rapid inflation by showing how it effects individuals in those countries, I really like your videos on economic subjects.
pretty good , I am panamenian and I really like your video and I have to say that the amount of money you spent is pretty acurate specially when we are moving around alone in city , the city of panama is really modern and luxurious which makes panamenain to expend a lot of money , however we also have places where things are much cheaper , but abvoiusly the comfort and the safety of the place is not the same which makes the city of panama divided into group according to how much wealth you have. and part of that reason is becuase the lack of education .

It is pretty accurate but it shouldn't be based on a daily budget of 70 to 100, it can actually be less if you use the public transportation metro and bus, also you can eat in a local restaurant, fast food ones instead of the one in the hotel and for the nightlife in Casco Antiguo, there are pretty good restaurants with average prices. In the end, it would depend on your type of lifestyle. Just to let you know you could take a bus to the terminal from there you can also get another one to Amador or to the Canal and go back to the Hotel in the metro and then take an Uber for less. You spend half of your budget on transportation which is insane.
Instead of counting on the negative things about Panama. We should count the many achievements of Panama. Goods, services, and higher quality of life are things the first world take for granted.

Thank you for this video. I heard Panama is good for value compared to other Latin American countries like Uruguay but not sure about the prices you paid in this video are kind of comparable to the States. Not very cheap in my opinion and I live in Hawaii where I am used to high prices for basic things.
This video is kind of deceiving. If you are a tourist, and you spend half of your budget on uber instead of public transport, of course you're gonna spend a lot more. He's also eating at very fancy places, like the Waldorf Astoria hotel, and drinking craft beer. I'm a local and I use public transport on a daily. It's incredibly cheap. Buses are 0.25 cents and the metro is 0.35 cents. You can also have lunch for $5 at most places, including the food and the drink. Hope you visit soon!🌺🇵🇦
Panama is not cheap, but what most people spend is not even close to that. You can get by as a tourist with $20 a day, and as a local with as much as $10 a day or less

I heard Panama is a really good place for Americans to retire. I am only 31 so I have many more years to go lol but I like researching about other countries and what value they have to offer in case I want to visit or live there in the future.
