Slovak Muslim reacts to TRT video: "The country with Muslims but no mosque" (Slovakia)

  • As a Slovak Muslim (reverted last year) who wants to live in Slovakia as a Muslim, I feel that I can offer some interesting insights on the topic of Islam in Slovakia.
Slovakia is one of very few European countries with no mosque, but that's not the only struggle for a Muslim community denied official status. The Slovak parliament made it even more difficult for them to gain recognition.
Leave me a comment below with your thoughts about this video. I try to respond to all of them.

Mashallah Brother. As a Hungarian Muslim I can relate soooo much and I have been having the same thoughts for a while. Nice to hear somebody thinking the same as I do in an almost identical situation. And Subhanallah, how Islam unites us brother. If we weren't Muslim, we would likely have enmity and hatred towards each other, because of the history of our nations. Hungary and Slovakia. But we are Brothers in Islam Alhamdulillah. Inshallah, we born European Muslims can soon form an identity which is 100% Islamic and 100% European

Brother, I'm a brown skin PAKISTANI Kashmiri Turkish British Sunni Muslim in That order, I understand why you want Slovak Slavs whites to be converted FIRST because people accept their own kind FIRST. You SHOULD convert as many Slovak Slavs as possible and save your place in Jannat. Try with your family and friends FIRST. I hope to travel to Bosna inshallâh. I was born in England, maybe you should come vist Muslims here in UK, we are not that Scary lol 🤣 Come to Manchester please. 👍🏻🇵🇰🇹🇷💚❤

I had a Slovak girlfriend the past years also from other different Slavic countries - K have a feeling they just wanna live their lives and don’t wanna know why they are here 😪… Allah grand’s them a beautiful life here maybe - but in the hereafter not anymore 😪… I am very happy and proud of you 🥲 you chose the right way and I will show you to them who don’t want to believe!! I agree with you and on all points!
especially with your thoughts as a muslim in slovakia to continue to live peacefully and integrated in your own society..it is certainly a different point of reference (a very positive one) for a person in Slovakia when they see a Muslim Slovak (not from another culture)..
the main difference, however, is that converts live the faith from the heart (tahkiki) and not simply from habit or imitation from family, society etc.(taklīd تقليد )
this conveys a very positive and dynamic image

According to IslamQA, you can eat meat of Christians that has been stunned, as long as the stun didn't kill the animal, and the cut is made before the heart stops which is usually the case in Europe. But I can imagine you are rewarded for making your food as halal as possible going through the hardship to obtain certified halal. May Allah make indigenous Central Europeans enter Islam. Humans are by nature more receptive to people that look like them.

One of them (he was a former Hip Hop dancer) very cool guy and a new guy fresh off the boat from Slovakia came to live with us he used to get drunk all the time. I ended up beating him up and left the property. He had the audacity to be racist yet living in UK where we Muslims have built England for many many generations.

Like for example I love eating pizza which is a Italian cuisine should I stop eating it because it comes from Italian culture of course not it’s good being a bit open minded and have tolerance and respect

Hi Dorian, me too I'm Polish, I started to learn Muslim prayers although all my life before I was agnostic and I wanted be as liberal as possible. Last year was so hard to me and I lost my hope. I started to read Quran (because I've already had it) and read about another religions. What I like in Islam is one God , no human God what I denyed from childhood. Also attitude of Polish Catholics .. priests and Church generally made me far away long time ago of religion. But every day from longer time I felt that sth push me to find what's afterlife.. Islam is just clear for me. I'm learning pray at home now but I don't tell anyone, because it would be weird for most of polish people. I stoped drink alcohol some months ago at all, I don't eat pork around 2 years (although I was agnostic) . Next week I'm going to mosque to talk to Imam, I'm trying to be more kind to my family although we can not get well each other . I didn't say anyone about all these things even to my Muslim friends because I don't wanna make sensation here , I think anyone has to know about my choice, it's my choice what I believe and how I pray.. just I need talk to Imam, because the prayer makes me a little bit difficultity mainly that's in Arabic , but right now I make notes and I read these notes with my prayer. I think I make lots of mistakes but I hope these prayers are good for God.

Brother Jan, you should talk to brother Muhammed Ali from the UK. He gives street Dawah to people. He can help you how to give Dawah to non-Muslims. Also, he is of your age group I think & very friendly. Channel name - *The Muslim Lantern*

Bro this is your land this is your home don't leave it just because some idiots want you out of there. Maybe try to make a stand like what sheikh uthman ibn farouq (one message foundation) in a square or something. May Allah aid you and make your journey easy.

Brother, there's a considerable Racism and Islamophobia in Eastern European countries, they're unlike The UK or Canada for example (As the Governments for decades have worked through different means and laws to integrate and level up minorities in the society).
So take care of your safety, as I don't think Muslim communities have any minority protection laws in many Eastern European countries (i.e Slovakia)
    Salam Alaikum

Yeah, brother recognition is important for Islam to thrive in Slovakia. You should do some interviews with revert Slovaks which will help the Dawah.
